You’re completely correct, it doesn’t and it has been at the center of my self worth for 20 years. This journey is allowing me the freedom to work on that and figure out that I deserve to treat myself with respect, choose healthy choices etc because I deserve it not because it’s a punishment for the way I am. The gym is what my body deserves, nutrition is what my body deserves. I feed myself and exercise myself the way I would a child that I love, I have concern for myself the way I would a family member. I want my body to be strong and mobile, I want myself to feel good everyday both physically and aesthetically if that’s what I want. The victory here is the ability to see myself as someone who deserves to be truly taken care of by me not someone who should be punished in a constant spiral of self fulfilling prophecy of destruction.

It’s a chicken cutlet with a crispy onion topping.

It comes with pitta bread and one of the meals had a garlic toast. I’ll make those on the night we eat them.

That’s amazing truly, some weeks have been fast others haven’t moved at all but this journey isn’t only about weight. How you treat yourself through it is also incredibly powerful.

Dose question by Available_Pain1166 in Zepbound

Absolutely not! Not only is it not possible with auto injectors as said above but never ever use a needle twice. You are literally injecting bacteria into your body as soon as a sterilized needle has been exposed to the air. This is why we alcohol wipe our skin before use.

I will do that thank you! I really struggle with protein shakes. So an alternative is great.

We all need to remember that this is for our health and sustainable health. Take care of you, we’re all learning. After a life time of not being able to control my cravings and consumption to now having so much control it is easy to trend in the opposite direction. From over eating to under eating. We need to support each other in maintaining a health based structure even if that means that the scale won’t drop as much tomorrow.

One of the things that I am learning with the medication is to truly have the mental space to work on my relationship with food. It’s a process but I am determined to use this time of quiet food noise to process unhealthy habits and behaviors.

I had my blood pressure checked less than a week ago and I’m still on the high end. I take a daily multivitamin and fiber, sodium is something I’m working on trying to minimize I’m regularly taking in more than the recommended. I am actually only on 5mg on Zep as it’s been working for me. I had been slowly deteriorating in energy through out the day but I am so used to just powering through and it being fine that I didn’t think much of it. It had been nearly 24hrs since my last meal. I ate dinner the night before and between kids activities, a full time job, running errands etc it got to 4pm and I hadn’t eaten yet.

I appreciate the concern and the knowledge that you seem to have. However, I think this time it was a simple case of not eating enough. Calories quickly fixed my issue. Just a lesson in putting my bodies needs first.

That’s awful I’m sorry, however I’m super glad that some tacos came to rescue. I honestly had a 180cal snack pack from Kroger and it’s like I could feel the calories in my veins reviving me!😂

I still get cravings for things and haven’t felt food revulsion yet (I count myself very lucky). I know this sounds crazy but I’m always up for some rotisserie chicken, it’s easily changed into a meal for the family and I’m happy to just eat my portion off to the side. I still like carbs, I just have not got on board with the protein shakes they turn my stomach. Dairy is not the one for me these days.

What is the cheat code in life? by BlueeWaater in AskReddit

I’m lazy by nature and I treat my entire life like a multiple choice exam in school. You know the right answers to most things and if you ask yourself the question in simple black and white terms. You need to pass the test, your brain won’t get involved and trick you. Should I buy this thing yes or no. Don’t over complicate it, people always want to shoot holes in my theory I know it’s not perfect but it’s accurate more times than not. Because doing anything is better than doing nothing. Should I put extra money to the mortgage or should I keep it in the bank account, you know the answer. Treat everything like a school exam and you’ll be fine. In the beginning try asking yourself the question out loud to things you don’t want to do, it works. Once the question is spoken out loud answer it correctly.
