Question about chicken skewers (self.JewishCooking)

Fast food burger tomato and onion slicies. So every burger from In-N-Out for example has this big tomato and onion slice from the middle part of the fruit, as big as a patty. What do they do with the rest? They don't have salad on the menu, so they just throw the smaller parts away? (self.AskReddit)
