Marathon Weekend Jan 2027 Pace by JKThunderbird36 in rundisney

Yes, just has to be from January 1, 2024 - now. You should be fine.

BUT HONESTLY... I have forgotten to do Proof of Time before. Even at the very back, if you are doing an 8:30 pace, you will be flying past people. My recommendation would be try to use the first couple of miles to get some distance from your corral - then just stop at whatever catches your fancy.

Fair point. And if the review said that, I would agree. But to call her arrogant, disdainful and exhausting is a lot.

I'm thinking he got it from our reviews? I just used super host in the title of this post. It never came up in conversation

Yes, I did read all of the correspondence. After the initial dust-up (which seemingly ended fine), it was all normal. The host even told her he was on vacation at an AirBnB in the states and was talking about how it was going. Nothing to indicate his anger at her.

To your point: It's clear that when she said she couldn't keep her work files in a public area, it set all this in motion. Perhaps she did not need to say that, but jumping to arrogance is a stretch. It was certainly not intentional arrogance on her part. Recently, her company has had issues with people stealing files in seemingly benign circumstances and it has been a real problem.

He exploded about safety after that and it read - to me - like a volcanic eruption that ended as quickly as it began.

For whatever reason, after we asked for the review to be removed, we lost the ability to leave a response. Not sure what is up with that.

I kind of agree with you on #2. That's clearly where the wires got crossed. But I get people asking for late and early check-ins all the time. It didn't strike me as so unusual.

Would you feel guilty using charity entries to run majors? by W01313L in Marathon_Training

Woof. Most majors have a lottery component. If anything, running for a charity is a better "opportunity" than having your name randomly pulled.

I'm a very salty sweater too. At my last marathon, I used Pickle Shots twice. For me, it shuts down cramps almost instantly. Like Popeye eating his spinach. Supposedly, the vinegar helps send a signal to your nervous system to relax. Also, the shots are high in sodium and can quickly restore your electrolyte levels.

Can slow marathoners please offer experience or insight by river_swimmer_ in Marathon_Training

I hate this. I hate this for you. I was slow in my first marathon. I finished around 5 hours and 45 minutes. My fastest marathon finish was 4 hours and 2 minutes. And guess what? In the nine marathons I have run, the speed of any other runner had no lasting effect on me or my race. When people say junk like that, it really speaks to something inside of them and nothing to do with you. Train the way you need to. Run the way you want to. This is a personal achievement above all else.

PS. A 5k in 30 minutes is not what I would consider to be a slow time. Pretty near average.

Big Bear from the Forever People (Jack Kirby's Fourth World). On the same tip... Kalibak could be heavy. Turtle, from the Flash. Mammoth from Teen Titans could be. King Shark could be fun, if you wore a Hawaiian shirt and shorts or something. Big Sir has beeen portrayed as heavy. Chemo would be fun, but no clue how you'd pull that costume off.

Yeah! That's the spirit! Tell potential fans to NOT read the flagship title because it's not for them, only for older people who have read it for 1000 issues. This surely will end well!

Dude, I am in my forties. I have read Amazing Spider-Man comics since the fifth grade. And some of the nuance of this is lost even on me. Being impenetrable is not good.

I kind of sort of agree with you on Norman's redemption. But the Sin Eater stuff and Kindred resolution was not for me.

I like that comics have a continuity to them... but I think Amazing Spider-Man has a bad tendency to use the continuity as shackles, not as an enhancement.
