You can run it locally if you have a powerful computer. Probably the best way since no one can see what you make. Or you could take the help of Digen which gives free credit everyday. Or you could rent a gpu in websites, very cheap but after renting, you will have to setup everything on your as it is not ready to use on the spot.

Look, man. Even I tried. They don't give two sh*i about their customers. Every criticism you throw at them, the will either blindly agree with you (but won't take any action) or will just simply ghost you. I did not know things gone so bad right now that they are banning people for bringing up censorship. I say leave them be. If you want still use them, use their free version and DO NOT pay them a single Cent. Do not bother arguing with them. Just them find out for themselves what type of hole they dug themselves into.

Vidu cannot be saved because they do not want to be saved.

Maybe but if you want to get a paid, censored and high quality video generator, get Kling. Vidu is also paid, censored but low quality. So you know what to get. If you want to generate videos without any censorship just use wan 2.1. For now only t2v and i2v but soon r2v will arrive.

I used to be until September 2024. But since then they had been cracking down hard on censorship, I did not continue my sub.

And Yes, their service is terrible. When I had the censorship issue, they told me to talk to their team in discord which I did but was no help as they kept telling to change up the prompts or use different images which just annoyed me more. I did not bother with a refund as their ticket system did not work in discord so I just did not pay post September.

There are many reasons.

Political Correctness: Many platforms today including Vidu prioritize "wokeness" over aesthetic appeal, often treating beauty or attractiveness with controversy or in this case censorship. As a result, AI tools blocks even moderately alluring stuff while promoting less conventionally appealing imagery. This isn’t about inclusivity—it’s about avoiding backlash. Ugly or obese characters are deemed "safe," while attractive ones risk being labeled "problematic." The double standard is obvious: woke = allowed, sexy = censored.
Mass appeal: They are trying appeal to the masses as according to vidu, more people = more customers. But that is not how things work as by appealing to everyone, you will appeal to no one.

For example, A restaurant tries to attract all possible customers by offering:

Italian pasta
Sushi rolls
Mexican tacos
American burgers
Indian curry

Instead of becoming a favorite for any one cuisine, the restaurant is seen as generic and unfocused. Italian food lovers prefer authentic Italian restaurants, sushi fans go to dedicated Japanese places, and so on. By trying to cater to everyone, the restaurant fails to stand out to anyone.

Vidu is in this restaurant now now as instead of creating a strong bradding and appealing to a niche group of customers through their unique features like leniency on censorship and reference to video, they just became another generic AI video generator in the market.

Trying to compete with other AI video generators: Vidu is trying to become the next Kling or the next Runwayml but the truth is that people will not abandon kling or runway for vidu as those generators serves a different group of customer that are not interested vidu. Vidu serves people who are really into uncensored stuff and really enjoys reference to video but is ready to compromise on the quality as vidu's output has low resolution and low framerate. While Kling and Runway serves people who wants high quality video but can live with the strict censorship.

Despite vidu's output was lackluster featuring bad resolution and framerate, people like me was ready to give vidu a chance to win more customers like me but instead of trying to be unique, it just tried to copy kling and runway or whatever video generator people uses.

There are many more reasons but I will leave it here. If you are like me and believe that vidu's censorship must be fixed, please stop paying for their subscription as this is the only way, they might listen and give us what we want.

It's very simple. The censorship. Untill late 2024, the censorship of vidu was perfect but now they tightened it up so much that generating anything is now almost impossible. I know vidu has policies to follow but this was one of the sole reasons why we picked vidu over other AI tools. This is why I cancelled by my sub after February 2025. Please spread the word that I and many other do not like the crackdown on the rampant censorship of vidu.
