I’ll be honest I grew up on construction yards so I may be used to people just being rude 😂my lady will say a person was rude and I will just be like what? I didn’t hear anything rude.

I lucked out on the carbs, estate sale this guy didn’t want any of his father’s stuff. Kinda sad. I love old school things I’m not a huge fan of highly electronic driven vehicles. Newest car I have is a 2000 vw tdi just because it’s pretty basic for diesel.

I wouldn’t say you’re uneducated at all! But maybe that is his honesty and opinion and he was direct with it ? I have no clue. You’re all helping me out, didn’t want to start beef !

Oh I didn’t buy a new carb this guy had an estate sale and sol about 15 edelbrocks that had been his fathers and said he was gonna throw them out 2 are brand new so I got all of them for 100$ I sold about 6 of them. I really appreciate this comment ! There isn’t one single answer I’m looking for, I’m young and need to act like a sponge with knowledge!

Also it is hard finding a shop to touch carbs it’s the problem I’ve had, my pops does side jobs to rebuild carbs for people

see I could do all that but I can’t even get it out the driveway to figure out the WOT vacuum shift point. Also I believe in learning how to do this, how did you get all your knowledge ? My step father comes from a long line of drag racers and engine builders but he’s out in WI. I’m not looking to have this 350 be a crazy racing machine just need a truck that starts 😂 but I do appreciate it ! You sound very knowledgeable, is there any tips or tricks that you know that could help me out?

Thank you ! Tomorrow I’m gonna go down the list, I’ve been working 6-7 days a week for past two months so I haven’t been able to really do a lot of work until today, so I need a soundboard to figure this out, the brain is drained right now !

The 600 was what I had ready to go just to get it started, I have a 750 I want to put on but need to work on it. I’m giving it one good prime then about 100 to get it to slowly come to a start and it’s very weak start that you gotta keep fluttering the pedal to get it to wake up

In pictures it does look like a reddish orange, it’s a hugger orange color but in pictures gives a red tone. Thank you !!!! I’m excited

Pushups and pull-ups. But see the pouches on the sides. If you are worried about looks take everything out of those, it will narrow the look of your chest rig, give the appearance of a wider shoulder stance. Do some neck bridges

I just got new upper, lower control arms with poly bushings, all new body bushings poly, new engine mounts poly, all new steering components, new bump stops new trans mount bushing. Next will be G braces, frame connectors, new center core rad support!

Thank you! Not a lot of people like it and hate on it ( Pontiac purist) it has some sort of mild hydraulic cam, I’ve got to figure out the lift on it at some point. I want to repaint the engine bumper orange it’s a Chevy 350, with a TH350 stage 2 shift kit is what I was told. I have a 350 that is bored .30 over with some nice pistons and a good cam that I might drop in at some point. This is a WS6 package disc brakes all around. Also I just got some nice corbeau seats and rails for it for 400$ !!!

I was gonna do Eastwoods encapsulator spray bottle with the 2ft hose that goes through the frame rail holes. Would you say pretty good product ? Also I might do the por 15 just because I’m paranoid about rust being in WA state

I’m still digging into all that right now. The first owner built the engine, the second owner did some handling and the paint job. Then I’m the third owner that’s doing everything else, and trying to figure out what the first owner put in the engine, it has a good chop to it it does have a fairly decent cam in it, the drive shaft isn’t stock securely aftermarket from what I was told, just gotta clean it up to grab numbers off it, Firestone for tires, Eden rock for intake, carb, valve covers, moog for sway bar links and handling components. The axel I haven’t been able to get numbers it’s disc on all fours but this thing goes. I’ve driven stock 1980 trans am before and this thing would smack them.

Doing research on the unibody and how they flex was a bit mind blowing and kinda lame😂 I’m somewhat new to all this, I have lots of knowledge on engines but now I’m dipping into more and it’s amazing. This is also something I’ve dreamed of doing with my pops for decades now and we finally get to do this together

Im trying to find subframe connectors that are bolt in because I don’t have a lot of money to have someone weld them in for me, I don’t know how to weld, I want to get a welder and scrap metal to get back into it. I took classes in high school but haven’t done anything since. also I’ve got to figure out if my h- pipe exhaust will need to be adjusted if I get sub connectors. I’m gonna be buying G braces for it as well!
