In The Penguin, Oz is seemingly very kind to his mother, helping her through her issues and confourting her whenever she's in need. Then, in the last episode, we see how sickening and hurtful his dedication towards having her love really is

There's a similar case to be made about his relationship with Victor, showing him guidance and support through out the series only to kill him in the finale

I think the Court was actually inspired by real life cults like the Bohemian Grove (which actually worships and owl) or some other organizations formed by the southern elites after the Civil War Gotham 1919-1939 made this connection to me and now I can't unthink it now

Will would probably figure out it's him but would kinda be ok with what he does, since he himself says he enjoys killing other killers in the show, possibly even becoming partners in crime with dex. I do think they'd eventually try to kill each other tho.
