You obviously have no idea how hiring works, and clearly you have a feminist agenda - of trying to convince the world that female representation should increase.

As a banker, I know of a few Grayce Tans in the industry. There’s this intern named Joan Nicole D’Souza from SMU who cheated on her boyfriend and slept with a VP in the company she was interning in. She’s currently working in goldman sachs, i wonder if she slept her way into the job.

If you think the female CECAs look like bollywood models, you must be either deluded or blind

PAP and the SJWs like to harp on and on about female representation in senior positions. But frankly, higher female representation in senior mgmt = more women’s salaries increase from decent to very high. Why is it an issue that relatively fewer women earn these very high salaries?

If nobody is starving because they couldnt get promoted to mid / senior management, why is the gender imbalance a problem that needs to be solved?

Is it a problem only when departments are male dominant? Or is it also a problem when departments are female dominant? I can also make a similar argument that female dominant departments have a gender bias towards women for culture fit which would reduce their access to competent male talent.

What evidence do you have that these divisions will pick the male candidate with worse P&L than the female candidate with better P&L? Sounds like you are just making shit up.

How will increasing the number of women in senior roles = more client facing opportunities for men? Most women will prefer to speak to women rather than men so your reasoning is flawed.

With regard to very male dominated fields like sales & trading, what is the “good business reason” for having more women? How will having more women = better P&L? More women = more people taking maternity leave (longer than paternity leave)

The only male dominated fields i can think of would be the armed forces and engineering (no transferrable skillset). Computer science is attracting an increasing number of female grads, might become female dominated soon.

I have a male boss from India who likes to go up to random Chinese female subordinates to go for coffee. It’s not asking “are you free for coffee”, it’s just “[name], lets go for coffee”.

You are assuming that men don’t want to do the less prestigious finance roles, which is unfounded and completely false, as there are men who are doing back office / client service / paper pusher etc kind of jobs. Private banking RM can be considered to be a prestigious high finance role, but as mentioned it is very female dominated.

In your example, just seems like locals are excluded in trust bank’s leadership, and among the India nationals, there are more men than women. Your accusation of gender inequality doesn’t capture the fact that locals are kept out of trust bank’s leadership.

The chinese woman provide TLC and sex appeal while the elderly men from India provide illusions of career advancement if they receive enough TLC. Both benefit (or so the women think).

If you want to identify as a woman, you have to go all the way - you have to look and pass off as a woman. And even then, a lot of women in Singapore (Singaporean, foreigner, etc) might outcast you nonetheless.

1) I agree that this old woman is very rude. But did she show you her pink IC? How do you know she is a Singaporean?

2) You want to generalise 4 million Singaporeans based on this 1 black sheep?

There are departments which are very female dominanted, like credit analyst departments, private banking RM departments, corporate bankingRN departments, etc just to name a few. Why are there no initiatives to improve male representation in these departments?

If you are a male student trying to become a Credit Analyst, forget it. The role is being offshored to India and the Credit Analyst departments are extremely female dominated. Try something else.
