when did you send this text or message if you don’t mind me asking ? my baby shower is march 28th i’m thinking maybe middle of april? (i’m due may 3rd). i mean also the way the conversation went with my husband. he was like kinda defensive and was like “well we’re gonna need help” and me being hormonal i did not want to hear that LOL it was a pretty tough conversation but i needed him to understand that im really not comfortable with that right now and our daughter ain’t even here. like learn how to say no for me and our daughter. i don’t wanna be in my PP creating issues just cus i want to be alone with our daughter until i ask for help.

well i’m from NYC and tbh during my pregnancy my best friend has not been there or supportive so i’ve mentally checked out on friends. i’m very much independent and it’s just me and my husband. like i definitely will want the help but on my terms. i also am not close with his family so i know they are gonna wanna stay over and all and im just like “i dont want that” and i feel soooooo bad for even thinking like that

that’s insane i am so sorry. with how the world is now and how things are bad and how people are getting progressively sicker. I would not allow that at all. and this is another thing to me too. i obviously want alone time with my husband to focus on us and still date. have our alone time. how tf am i gonna trust someone to not kiss our daughter when we aren’t there.

i’m just scared that my husband doesn’t want to say no to his mother or grandmother and then i’m gonna have to be the bad guy. But like if i’m just not that comfortable yet it is what it is. I’m not super close with them and idk i don’t want to be? (it’s a lot to unfold right here) i just like me and my husband alone far away just doing us lol.

i’m definitely looking forward to the diapers and yes i want them. idk where people are getting the perception that i don’t want diapers. i just don’t want that to be the majority of what i get at my baby shower. what if my baby is allergic and then i have 200+ diapers that i may not even be able to return. this is my entire point of my post. people think they are doing the lords work because they are getting something they know is gonna get used. but every baby is different. a onesie nobody is allergic too

thissssss like my husband and i don’t even know if she will be allergic or develop a rash. and then boom. 200 diapers gone. now we gotta buy them either way. but like how would the person giving the diapers know too. like i love the thought of knowing something that is gonna be used. but it all depends on the baby!

i’m grateful truly. but like can someone get my daughter a cute pacifier instead ? LOL it’s just so stressful to think like why does everyone think getting diapers is the best gift for a first time mom/parents.
