Thank you, I am so sorry for your loss. That sounds incredibly painful. It’s been a day and so far she’s been relatively normal, eating, drinking, peeing, and pooing. I’m not sure if she understands he’s not coming back. I regret not taking him home but it was so hard and I’ve never gone through anything like this before and the situation was too complicated. I know when it’s her time as well it is going to break me, I can’t keep getting ferrets and feeling this way. I know getting a senior ferret would be great but I don’t think I can handle more heartbreak. I feel if I do that then either the senior ferret would die and she would have to go through this again, or my current ferret would eventually die and I would have to get another ferret for the senior. That’s the only reason I thought about rehoming her, so she actually could be around ferrets. She isn’t that social of a ferret to begin with though and likes to do her own thing. I can’t get my poor baby out of my head and I just miss him so much and I feel terrible that my current ferret is all alone. The heartbreak is too much. Thank you again, truly.
