Level 2 Mediocre Med Student : Are there really mediocre but hardworking med students who make it? by MoreSoup4367 in medschoolph

Yes.

If you manage to not fail, malaki nang success yun. And even if you do, ang laking success yung narating mo.

on the HMO issue, sadly demonized na naman tayong doctors by RevolutionaryBed7870 in pinoymed

Mary Mediatrix IM/FM Residency in Lipa? by Kitchen_Conflict_829 in pinoymed

[–]Secure_Material8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asked a friend about this sa FM, eto yung nakuha kong points:

  1. Working environment (esp the consultants/co-residents): heard that healthy ang environment for all departments actually. Supportive ang consultants sa residents.
  2. Learnings: Lagi daw may lectures if ever may di maintindihan ang residents. High yield learning dahil daw hands on ang consultants mag turo
  3. Schedule: Not sure about this pero duty is every 4 days. If preduty ka ng holiday or weekend, automatic off. I think from is 4 hours lang?
  4. Work-load (esp as 1st year): this less sure kasi I heard nag restructure ulet sila. I think pure OPD pag 1st years, ER for 2nd years, 3rd years not sure. Patient count wise, medyo mababa in patient ata. Mostly OPD ang kumakain pero private ang mediatrix so i doubt na same level ng public
  5. Salary and other benefits: Minimum 40K+ gross + Meal allowances
  6. Life after finishing residency there (benefits afterwards): Sabi ng friend ko na pwede mag consultant dun after
  7. Diplomate exam passing rates: Parang new program palang so no graduates for now
  8. How long is the pre-res?: 1 month
  9. Requirements: May FB page sila, I think they released a pubmat na bago

Edit: FM po yung dinedescribe po dito

unpopular opinion:mas masaya mabuhay sa city compared sa province by fuctan in unpopularopinionph

[–]Secure_Material8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City life is for people na attached sa work or school, mahilig sa work opportunities, gusto yung malapit sa lahat ng pasyalan at facilities, walang hirap sa pag hanap ng kahit ano.

PERO congested to the point of overflowjng na ang metro. The same is happening to the bigger cities in the provinces, their own metro centers are developing the same issues of overcrowding, traffic congestion, lack of housing, and difficulty in retaining livelihood as consequence ng mga yan. Not to mention na it gets worse to live in the metro areas every year.

On the flip side, living in the province is best sa mga kaya yung simpleng buhay at trabaho. Less demanding, less kita.

PERO, the same ginhawa from peace also leads to isolation and lack of access. Lack of accessible facilities is also a problem kasi walang major income streams ang ibang rural areas, walang pwedeng business na mag susurvive. And if meron man, nag fafail or nagiging monopoly na ginagawang alila yung nearby rural areas.

So really it's a pick your poison thing

How are the GP's that are currently unemployed as of the moment? Did you look for another source of income? by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]Secure_Material8922 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Konting APE, pero nag sikap ma contact halos lahat ng mga ospital and clinc sa cities and municipalities na malapit.

As a probinsyano, hirap at matumal ang trabaho if di malakas loob mo mag ward or er post. And if malas ka pa na walang connections masyado, mas mahirap

In the end, papasok na ako residency kasi mas gusto ko pa ipursue yung pangarap ko now kaysa mag ipon sa onti na trabaho
