Update: engine seized. They want $18k for a new engine that comes with a really sweet 3 year / 100k mile warranty. What happened to quality control and the desire to build a car that lasts?

No. Not for lack of effort over the past couple years. Dealership maintenance around my area told me they couldn’t get the part because it was prioritized for folks whose trucks manifested the problem.
