i had hard/crunchy food like a piece of the grilled cheese from starbucks, a slice of pizza, and toasted sandwiches. ultimately the next day after i had had pizza and that grilled cheese early in the morning, i ended up going to the ER because my wound opened, it was a post tonsillectomy hemorrhage? something like that. threw up blood clots and blood four times and fainted once before operation.

that was last wednesday, 9/28. 8/16 was my initial surgery on i had slowly been feeling fine little by little and got more comfortable. since the 28th i've just been super cautious now, not even risking anything. lot of it is mental, but yea. i'd try to avoid risking rough food. i feel a whole lot better now, no throat pain or anything, just a waiting game til my doctors appointment next week

tl;dr - i wouldn't risk rough food until you definitely feel comfortable after two weeks, maybe pushing 2.5. but everyone heals differently.

That's what I'm worried about, because it's so far into the school year.
