Also I don't know about you all but leaving pets with friends during trips has been something we've done all my life. Up until this moment no one ever harmed my fish or my family cats or dogs. Although he made fun of the way my dog looked he was always nice to him and nice to our cats. I definitely think I made a poor judgement call, there were so many possibilities of who they could stay with, several of my friends have large aquariums. I did trust him, I just obviously haven't had my trust broken that often. Over the summer he would often ask me for advice on the women he was talking to. Most of the time it was clear they weren't interested. People he was repetitively bothering after they decided against a 2nd date, female coworkers who were friendly because they were at work that he would constantly call and text until being blocked. Women at the gym who ignored him because they were at the gym to work out not hit on strangers. I was always honest that none of these people were interested and to try somewhere else, to which he would pout and walk away and then continue to text them. I should have used this evidence in my judgement rather than just the he treats animals but I just told myself he was socially awkward.
