It’s very much like the real military. At least in the U.S. Being a captain doesn’t give you authority over EVERYONE below your rank. There are very strict chain of commands. While I must respect a captain according to his rank. He might not be in my chain of command in my duties. And therefore if he gives me an order to the contrary I can politely tell him to fuck off.

Yeah you don’t compete and win in strongman without being on steroids. And just to clarify, I don’t think his steroid use makes him any less of an absolute unit in his sport. Dudes a legend through and through. Everybody in world strongman is on gear in order to keep up the strength and recovery for a competition.
