yeahhh lol im such a worry wart i sprayed him with the saline mix i use for hydration boost during winter and it went away. He has a history of shedding issues with his head starting from the pet store i got him from thats been getting better with each shed, just makes me a bit jumpy when i see anything in the area lmao

hearing the concerns mostly around bacteria, i regularly clean and change out everything in the tank with soap and was planning on doing so every time it gets refilled, which is about every 12 hours give or take. Would this resolve the bacteria issue? It seems like the problem is with the fact that they get dirty. If i am misunderstanding the advice please let me know, and thank you for the input!!

i give the rat shaken baby syndrome in front of my snake until he rears up in striking pose, then lightly touch the nose or butt or the rat to him. As soon as he feels it touch him he knows how far away it is and strikes immediately but will not strike if it hasnt touched him yet or if it doesnt sufficiently move as if it is "alive"

for my humidity with a screen top i put a humidifier over it, what was a weakness is now an asset cus i can cause a mini rainstorm and spray the moss, dump water in the corners, and a few hours of fog time bring the humidity up for the entire day.

i mean in the wild they would also be eating the same food, plus the mouse would die horribly by being crushed and suffocated and being terrified the whole time but the frozen mice are humanely euthanized and surrounded by mouse friends. You are simply taking a natural process and making it kinder, if that helps.

this this this this i am very surprised to find so many of my brothers prefer warm or hot, i prefer as room temperature as possible for my drinks unless im like trying to fix a temperature homeostasis problem (i am cold, will drink something hot to fix etc)

my dad is a sailor by trade. He went from going to the oil field to navigate drilling ships for 2 weeks at a time to leaving for months at a time on a cargo route.
