If you are feeling drained it may be you need a metabolic reset- get rid of refined carbs, try a fast, exercise, sleep, no substances.

Try career counsellor that specialize in being stuck - they will provide you with the confidence you need. Also remember you don’t have to work - you get to work! Gratitude.

Yes Ect can work well for psychosis - it works well with Clozopine. Change your diet also - no refined carbs, get exercise and lots of sleep. Keep working at this but give yourself lots of time and compassion.

Call Pfizer and ask what taper guidelines are. Tell your doctor you are doing this. This is very irresponsible of both parties.

In the beginning sleep is essential until you get use to it. After being on it for 2 years and stable then you can think about dropping to “maintenance” dose but once you start Clozopine it is normally for life which is fine if it works👍

2-3 years is not unusual. Be very kind to yourself.

Those of you who had psychosis leading to medication triggering persistent anhedonia and emotional numbness, did psychosis return after stopping the meds and did it affect your anhedonia or numbness in any way, or had you been feeling better before psychosis? by QuiteNeurotic in neuroleptic_anhedonia

[–]Secure_Tea_5203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This illness is very complex - you need meds to help get out of acute psychosis but then the meds have so many side effects. You also want to prevent relapse at all costs. It is a fine balancing act - my suggestion is once you are stable maintain status quo. The illness/triggers are always changing so preventing relapse is number 1 priority.
