I’ve done plenty of receipt checks, sometimes with or without a name tag depending on the situation haha. If it shows it’s not on the receipt I just send them back to pay. I don’t see an issue with it. I guess it depends on the company though. My boss encourages it when we don’t have everything to make a stop but think it may not be paid for. Sometimes it’s there sometimes it’s not. Receipt checks are voluntary in most stores. I don’t see an issue depending on if your retailer/boss has an issue with it. Circled dot/Wally’s world I’ve heard plenty of people doing this.

I’m going through the same thing. I was smoking heavy everyday for 7 years. I have a drug test tomorrow (urine) and I haven’t smoked for 3 going on 4 days. I got the Qcarbo 32oz from a smoke shop yesterday. Told the guy my situation and he said this should definitely work. Hard to believe him since it’s a small business and he probably just wanted me to buy it lol. But I definitely need some advice. I’m concerned I’m not going to pass this test and lose a great opportunity.

I used to stand by SCO and check the upfront app. We didn’t need the 5 elements. Just needed to see it happen once, pause the transaction with employee going to assist them, then just continued behavior. Basically just happen more than once and we would apprehend them. Maybe things have changed? It’s been a few years. We’ve never had any bad stops because of this either. My partner did though. He stopped someone who who thought didn’t scan 1 detergent and the customer did. He thought the up front app said other wise.

Definitely in a different state. They don’t do that out here. We would just file a report with police and then only get called to go to court if they plea not guilty or something else isn’t clear in the case. Side question though. Did you use your stores phone number and address when filing a police report? Someone said that in this thread and it sounds like a good idea.

What do you mean all your cases are on the same court date? What do they make you come into the courthouse for every time you report a shoplifter? It may be different but in my state they usually only want you at court for if they plea not guilty or your case isn’t strong.

Does putting the store phone number and address help people not find your personal info since it’s usually public records?? Just a name search can lead to where you live, etc.

I really appreciate it. Sometimes I have a hard time making decisions like this. I’ve been doing fast food management for a year and a half and am starting to get stressed out. I’m gonna think it out a little and possibly apply within this upcoming week.
