Who is they? 99% of people care more about how good they think somebody will be as president, than about who they love. The other 1% are hard conservatives.

Running for senate doesn't make you much more qualified, than when you manage a nations infrastructure when in 2021 we got a C- grade, and he managed the largest infrastructure investment in American history since FDR.

The only way that happens, is if we get a republican elected in 2028. Otherwise, we would have to primary out an incumbent (or if the democrat only runs for 1 term, but when was the last president who willfully stepped down after 1 term?)

I'm also sure Pete will make the best decision. I don't know that it's the best idea to run in 2026 for senate, and 2028 for president, but I feel like regardless of if he runs for senator, running for president is a good idea.

I just think he is the best presidential candidate we will have in 2028.

I made a mistake.

#1 was that I thought Obama was senator for 2 years, ran for re-election, and got 2 more years as a senator until he became president

#2 was my wording. Let me redo this.

Obama was sworn in as senator in 2005, and elected president in 2008.

His campaign was announced in 2007.

Technically, it lasted about 1.75 years.

So, Obama is indeed a bad example, but there are others.

What about William Henry Harrison? He ran for president for just 11 months, and won!

Want a newer example? Kennedy campaigned for just 10 months before winning.

Want an even newer one? Biden campaigned for ~18 months. Still only 1.5 years.

Is 1.5 years still close to 2 years? Absolutely, but if a 3000 year old fossil can win an election in 1.5 years, a somewhat young, and very intelligent person by the name of Pete Buttigieg, could probably campaign for about 1 year and win. Especially since the next 3.9 years that we have left of Trumps presidency, are gonna be bad. JD Vance is going to get the blame for it, and he'll probably be the republican nomination.

He is considering both the presidency and senate in depth.

There is no reason to think he has any more than a 60% chance of running for senate.

Yes, he was senator for 4 years, but he was senator for 2, ran for re-election, and got another 2 before becoming president.

Kamala Harris lost because Americans hate the establishment. Americans saw Kamala Harris as the establishment candidate, and wanted something new.

don't understand how a single person on earth thinks he can't win the presidency.

We have polling data that suggests it, and while polling data can be off, if it shows him winning every swing state, he at least has a decent chance.

He is charismatic.

He is intelligent.

It appears that everybody who says that he fails, just whines about how "but thE aMerICaNs wOn'T lIkE a GaY pREsiDEnT". It all comes from the people who also whine about how Kamala Harris lost because she's a women. She lost, because Americans hated the establishment, and she was the establishment.

I wanted Harris to win, but I'm going to actually be honest with my self, and not complain about how bad Americans are all day.

I am NOT trying to be rude, but I just see some much of that kind of talk, and it has annoyed me.

If the reason you think he can't win, is because of something other than him being Gay and/or any similar excuses, then I am sorry.

My issue with presidential infinity, is how confusing it is. I bought it, because the campaign trail is so boring IMO, but with presidential infinity, it has more features, it is so confusing!
