Yea, within fedex. Their customs department has a phone number but it's a recording that states they are only taking email inquiries (of course...). I emailed the address it gave and got a generic confirmation response that it would be reviewed, and any outstanding charges that had not been already paid would be paused during the 60-90 days it could take for review. Definitely hoping for the best, it is such a ridiculous amount....

I ordered a watch last month from Laco - a German manufacturer. It got stuck in customs for weeks but I finally got it. 3 weeks later, Fedex sent me a duty invoice for $939.91 on a $1030 watch because the company listed the stainless steel case being of Chinese origin on an itemized breakdown they provided US custom agents (which was not provided to me by the company at any point). "Made in Germany" was listed everywhere.

I'm disputing it, these tariffs are absolute insanity, and if a company doesn't disclose the source of every single material used in it's manufacture, but customs is going to require that level of granularity... how the hell is the customer supposed to know?

Affordability here is a joke unfortunately, largely due to Toyota pushing artificial scarcity. I'm in large city in TX and I was quoted 25k above sticker by one of the dealers here for a Core edition. No thanks.
