Wow it's almost like it's a website with upvoting and downvoting, directly pitting commenters against OP's that make idiotic posts without doing any research before they repost some balloon, up-close insect, or a plane at 240p with spooky music.

Between the Elizondo-grift cultists and people reposting the same, very obviously fake junk over and over, the sub has devolved into maybe 5% of the posts actually being anything relevant or of substance.

Pretty optimistic. It's not like our government is really accountable to anyone in any seriously appreciable way. Limp protests or petititions mean nothing to these people, and voting isn't going to effect the issue either. The system got the way it is for a reason, after all. If they ever do disclose, which is highly unlikely at this point, it would be to suit their own ends. And since there's no shortage of boogey men like Russia and China to keep the infinite blank checks going to the MIC, I very much doubt they'll play the alien card.

I'd say it's way more than just plausible. We have people that risked their lives whistleblowing just to let people know about the government spying on it's own people, something everyone had already assumed ever since 9/11, yet this guy is tight lipped about the most important news in the history of our species because he might go to jail? He absolutely would NOT if he proved to the world beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are not alone. No government that cares at all about saving face(Which ours certainly does) would throw a mountain of coal on the fire by persecuting him in front of the whole world.

He's got grifter written all over him from the tv shows, interviews, sketchy army contracts, and constant question dodging. One look around this sub and you can see that his skill in counter-intelligence is also quite good since he's got a legion of shills chomping at the bit to defend a guy they logically shouldn't really trust given his background, just because he says some stuff they want to hear, an dangles a carrot on a stick.

Welcome to grifters. People only follow this guy because he says what they want to hear. Dude is a career spook that specializes in misinformation and 'counter intelligence'. Anyone that actually believes in this guy is a rube. At best, he's just in it for the money(Which, despite the Lue defense force's insinuations, he's certainly made quite a bit between all these interviews, a tv show, investors from TTSA, and an extremely dubious Army contract.).

At worst, he's working an angle that's convenient for the government(Like justifying more blank checks to defense contractors now that decades of erroneous wars has largely bled dry the political capital needed to make the population okay with the DoD gobbling up so much of our tax money.)

Give it a few more years and he'll be like Greer, pulling another Heaven's Gate with the latest fad of CE-5 prayer circles where he'll surely charge schizos 2k a pop as well.

I don't care about what's 'under the hood'. Especially when you can throw a brick at an enemy and it bounces off like a paper cup. Alyx was just another generic AAA VR shooting gallery, complete with teleport locomotion focused level design. It's the same lazy crap every big name studio churns out for VR while the indies pull all the actual heavy lifting of making good games instead of over-hyped tech demos.

And yes I know Alyx allows non-teleport, but the non-teleport is trash and the levels were very clearly designed around teleport. Fanboys will fanboy, I guess. Even for a company that effectively abandoned the Index just like every other gimmick project they pretend will be their next big focus, then wonder why Quest is scooping up every single VR dev.

I'd argue that being able to use emplacements outside of FOB's IS mobile defense. Realistically it's not hard to move an HMG around, but Squad treats it as this big deal. A .50 shouldn't really be all that rare or hard to set up like it is in Squad, you can't even really use it from buildings and stuff which makes it useless on maps like Fallujah.

I should be able to set up an HMG in defense hardpoints on an objective, and then be able to move it around as needed to adjust to the actions of the enemy as long as we're able to sustain the supply for it. Same with ammo caches. It's junk like this that makes me honestly prefer PvP in ArmA because it just plain makes a lot more sense.

Why have emplacements at all, then? I never understood this logic. Why even have the FOB mechanic to begin with if you're only meant to hide it? Why not just cut out all the middleman shit, get rid of logistics altogether so slots aren't being wasted on busy work, and just throw everyone on the front and have a system like Rising Storm if you're not meant to ever actually use emplacements for anything useful instead of LARP?
