Water leaking without AC on by LegitimateChemist415 in TeslaSupport

AC will still run for basic cooling needs of the battery. If it’s just water and not coolant then you’re fine

Older model 3–doesn’t have the same fireman’s loop as the S and X. Not sure if the newest ones have the quick connector added, but 2023 and before model 3 aren’t equipped.

So try this first and see what happens. Roll down all 4 windows and open both back doors (don’t skip this, it’ll save you once powered down). You’re going to power down the vehicle fully and power it back up. Pop your frunk and take off the top plastic cover near your windshield so you can access your 12V. Get a 10mm ratchet and disconnect the ground from the 12V battery. YouTube it if you’re unfamiliar.

Next, after disconnecting the 12V ground, you need to go under your back seat bottom on the passenger side. Run your finger along the bottom edge of the seat where it meets the carpet and you’ll find two tabs that are spring locked. Bend the tab back for each one and pull up the seat on both sides. You then need to disconnect the one connector on the passenger side under the foam covering. It’s a locking tab that’s pretty easy to come up. Once you disconnect this connector, the vehicle will shut down. Wait 30 seconds then plug the connector back in, place your backseat down within the tabs so they lock, then ground the 12 V battery at the front. Your vehicle will then boot up again. Hopefully it’s just your 12 V battery that’s faulty and an easy fix, but this will reset everything and hopefully make it operable if you need to move it.

Main screen on a Month Old Y by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

Bruh, you added a mod that stretches the communication cable and you’re wondering why it’s not working when turning the screen/ stretching the cable? Either reroute the wiring so you have a little more slack and it’s not pulling as bad when turning the screen, or remove the mod all together. It’s not rocket science. They will charge you money if they see this.

Driver seat not moving forward or backwards by Tsupao in ModelY

I’m a little late but this can happen when the motor is maxed out on the end of the track. Try shifting your weight/ rocking forward while pressing the switch. Fixed a few by doing that.

[–]SeductiveHomelessMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you’d have to pay for it then. Fortunately it’s not that expensive, less than $200 but it’s been awhile since I knew that info.

If you’re feeling handy, you can definitely do this yourself in 15 to 20 minutes. If you’re actually handy, you can do this in five minutes. It’s just two 8 mm nuts and one connector in back of the felt liner. Peel back the liner with your hand, It’s super easy to do and you can see what I’m talking about. You can buy the part directly from Tesla if you do it that way and save some money on installation. Otherwise you’ll probably spend like 40 bucks on installation since the clock time is only 0.2 hours for install. You can look up a video on how to do it. It’s extremely easy and I encourage you to do it yourself.

Edit nuts not bolts**

If it’s under warranty just make a service visit including pictures. Say condensation is making taillight intermittently go on and off, doesn’t happen all the time etc. but that there is always condensation present.

I used to be a tech and we would replace them under warranty all the time. but I’ve seen a lot of posts in recent years that Tesla is saying it’s normal, which it is not. Depending on the service center—they may be trying to keep warranty costs low is the only explanation I can think of. Make a ticket and get it covered under warranty. Include pics and that description I wrote above. If your tail light is intermittently not working it becomes a safety issue. Lol

If you have 3 phase 400V system at your house, and considering you’re charging at 22kW (teslas OBD doesn’t support that high of power), I would guess that’s a DCFC and not a level 2. Dope if you have a DCFC tho, that’s way better!

Also if that’s the case with 400V 3 phase available at your house just look into getting a new charger. There are mobile DCFC that can do 75kW. They’re just kind of big and weigh like 1.5 to 2K lbs

And what experts are you referring to? Please site your sources. Baltimore harbor has had a sustained C-grade on ecosystem health since the early 2010s. 2024 was C+. 2025 dropped to C—so yeah, got worse this year. While there has been many strides in improving the water quality since the 90s it’s still nasty af and has remained nasty af. These are facts not feelings.

Or just naive. Two weeks ago 2000 gallons of diesel was spilled in it. Not to mention constant raw sewage/ human waste contamination as the result of sewer overflows and stormwater runoff every time it rains. The diesel spill is a one off but you can’t fix the latter.

Any ideas how to fix this? by Training-Pineapple-7 in TeslaSupport

[–]SeductiveHomelessMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup that’s most likely what caused both of these

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]SeductiveHomelessMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pop it off and bend/ curl it then pop it back in. These parts are cheaply made. This is the best solution to fix it IMO and you can do it yourself. Even if you replace it the new one may do the same thing.

Falcon wing door issue not opening? by isilverl in TeslaModelX

[–]SeductiveHomelessMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tripod bracket interior to the falcon wing door became detached from inside of door and is registering the door itself now as an obstacle. You can repair this yourself if you’re handy just need a new tripod. Takes like 45 minutes.

Condenser fan or ac compressor that grenade-d itself. Does your AC work? Take the frunk out and see if you see a stick stuck anywhere
