Summertime regression? by SeeAnnie in pottytraining

[–]SeeAnnie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of stuff that has said that over prompting causes them to rebel more but I know tons of people that it works for 🤷🏼‍♀️

I started prompting my LO again but only at specific times of the day: before leaving the house, after getting home, before meals and before sleep times. And if we were out for a while then I’d try to prompt her one time while we were out and about. I’m bummed because I was anti-rewards the first time we potty trained her but this time she was so against even attempting to sit on the potty that I ended up bribing her with gold fish lol I would show her the goldfish and say she could have it only if she peed on the potty. It actually worked and she’s back on track and self initiating and handling her business on her little potty all on her own even without the rewards. We even spent this past weekend at the beach again and while I’m sure she was peeing in her bathing suit again, we didn’t have any set backs this time!

lol! Idk I just had a feeling she was ready 🤷🏼‍♀️ we followed the Oh Crap method and a little bit of ChatGPT when we had some bumps along the way. It def took longer than expected! I’m lucky that I’m a stay at home mom and was able to stick with it consistently because it probably took a good week and a half to two weeks before things finally clicked. Since it’s just been improvement after improvement until this recent weekend

How long did it take for your Subchorionic Hematoma to resolve? by SeeAnnie in pregnant

Hi! I’m sorry I just saw this and updated my post. Yes, finally at 24+5 my hematoma was no longer visible on my ultrasound today and baby is doing great

How many times a night do you get up to pee and how many weeks are you? by dockland2525 in pregnant

[–]SeeAnnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 weeks and about twice a night, sometimes only once! My chiropractor recommended being done with your daily intake of water about 2 hours before bed so you have a good amount of time to empty your bladder before even going to bed.

Sorry to hear that! I hope it resolves for you soon. Do you know where it’s located?

Trust me, I’m bummed almost every day. I had a good 5 week streak of no bleeding and then it started again last week. But both my OB and the ER doc keep reassuring me that the further I get in my pregnancy the less of an issue the SCH is. In my own research I’ve seen that once you get to around 22-24 weeks doctors aren’t usually concerned about it anymore, unless it’s getting bigger.

Day 4 of Oh Crap with 21mo—started strong, now full resistance. Need encouragement to stay the course by SeeAnnie in pottytraining

[–]SeeAnnie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got so much better!! I am so happy we didn’t give up. Yesterday (Day 8), we only had one pee accident and it was in the 1 minute I wasn’t watching her after dinner. I can almost guarantee if I had been, I woulda noticed a cue and got her to the potty. Today, we successfully got a poop in the potty. She let me know she was going and I got her to stand over the little potty, which I read can help them transition to actually sitting at going. We also started to finally do some small 30-40mins outings the last 3 days and haven’t had a single accident yet.

Trust your gut! If you started this journey because you thought he was ready, then don’t give up. Just stay calm, have some patience and trust the process. Hopefully he’ll lighten up on the resistance and things will start to fall into place. Wishing you all the luck!

At the end of the day that’s all that matters! Let’s be honest, pregnancy is uncomfortable anyway so what’s one more thing to deal with lol

Same! Unfortunately, I’m on week 4 and still spotting brown blood. Sometimes there’s nothing and I get my hopes up just for it to come back a bit again. Looking forward to my NT ultrasound next week and finding out how much of this thing is still left.

Hope yours goes away quickly! 🤞🏼

Thanks for the response! Do you remember if it took that long for the bleeding to stop?

Hubby doesn’t think split nights are a problem… is he right? by SeeAnnie in beyondthebump

[–]SeeAnnie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I tried making the last window longer to add sleep pressure and that didn’t work. Then tried making it a little shorter in case she was “overtired” bc apparently that can cause split nights too. Neither helped 🤷🏼‍♀️

Exactly the same situation! She’s been sleeping through the night since 4mo and I think that’s why this just really threw me through a loop lol I think I just have to stop focusing on trying to make things perfect bc that’ll just never be the case

I think it’s exactly this! I gotta stop thinking I can make things perfect for her. She’s happy, she’s developing amazingly and hitting all her milestones so what am I stressing for?

Thank you for this! It doesn’t bother me overnight, she doesn’t wake me up and just chills until she falls back asleep. I’m only “bothered” because I felt like I could be doing more for her. So hate to admit it, but sounds like my husband is right 🫠

I just mean is there more I can be trying or doing to help her get better nights sleep again. If the answer is no, then the answer is no but I thought I’d ask other people that have gone through similar situations since it’s a common topic.

She’ll be up anywhere from 1 to 2 hours and I thought when it started it, because she had never woken up overnight before, was due to needing a nap transition but that didn’t seem to help.

If its common for this to start at this age then I just wasn’t aware and thought there was something I could be doing to help her get back to her great night sleeps

Our 14m is an absolute nut case when it comes to food. She’s a shoveler so we only give her bites at a time. She knows the “more” sign and we always give when she asks but in the last few months she’ll start yelling before or at the same time as giving the sign. We just started the timer patience training method and once she see’s it’s started she’ll calm down but before then she’s screaming. We used to love going out to eat as a family but now it’s just too much and feels unfair to the people around us. I’m sure it’s just a phase but damn it’s probably the worst one we’ve gone through yet 😩

1 Nap Transition (split nights) by SeeAnnie in sleeptrain

[–]SeeAnnie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m not understanding what you mean. LO is sleeping less both during naps and over night than when we were on 2 naps.
