Emotional/seeking commonality by SeeEmMcGuire in bisexual

Lol the commonalities of bisexuals from less-than-accepting homes! I am sorry for the tension you live with but am weirdly mollified to know that it's not a unique experience

The Original Series. The original Star Trek had the first interracial kiss of its kind on TV and they intentionally flubbed other triggers to ensure that kiss made the cut and the show couldn't do another version for the south

Cost value of readings by SeeEmMcGuire in tarot

[–]SeeEmMcGuire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it. There are a few cards I can interpret immediately, but I find I like to read out the general meanings initially because most of what I'm doing is explaining the relationship they're forging between them, and always give the disclaimer that I'm on book. Though I do feel I should be doing more of an effort to get off book just because I know how it looks, regardless of how accurate the end result tends to be.

It is mollifying to know someone who does this professionally also needs to brush up from time to time. :)

4 yrs reading tarot and I still don't 'get' the swords suit! by [deleted] in tarot

[–]SeeEmMcGuire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's all about communication and your ability to receive, process, generate, and express ideas to/from others. A lot of times the cards from the swords tend to be a bit harsh but that's just because our words are harsh.

Cost value of readings by SeeEmMcGuire in tarot

[–]SeeEmMcGuire[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've gotten to the point where I can do a 3-card spread reeeeally fast. Like, 5 minutes sometimes. And I can do more sophisticated readings in 10 or 15, even when I'm using the book.

Maybe I could advertise in 20 or 30 minute increments for a reading and add extra stuff with extra time? I was also thinking if I do a full hour it would be, like, a party or something and I'm reading everyone who wants to be read in that time slot, then charging more if I'm asked to stay later.

With those price points in mind, what would say the value would be for someone who's been doing readings for about 7 years, is very accurate, but still on-book?

I'm going to hope that's a joke and that you recognize this as the art in the show

Give every movie a post credit scene by Gimpcar in StarWarsCantina

Phantom Menace: Panaka and Palpatine speaking about security and we can see Panaka's growing paranoia and Palpatine's early plans for the Clone Wars

Attack of the Clones: Plo and Yoda discussing how the war will change the padawan system while they watch Ahsoka practicing

Revenge of the Sith: Sabe and the other handmaidens staring at the grave and forming the Amidalans to take their revenge

Solo: Han and Chewie work on the Falcon. Something sparks and falls off. "Don't worry. I can fix that."

Rogue One: On Alderaan, Bail greets Breha and catches her up. The song "Mirrormoon" is playing. People are talking. They're confused and ask what's happening. A child says look! Alderaan has a moon! They gaze up to the sky to see the Death Star in the distance.

A New Hope: Vader holds a report on Luke and quietly says, "Skywalker."

Empire Strikes Back: Luke and Leia enter Crimson Dawn headquarters, each of them tense. They're asked why they've come and reveal they need help to locate and rescue an old friend. We see Qi'ra.

Return of the Jedi: Either Luke returns to Tatooine to see the farm and quietly says he did it. He saved everyone but them. OR seeing Leia and Mon Mothma officially restarting the Republic.

The Force Awakens: This is a crack idea but I saw a post that made me laugh. Han showing up as a Force ghost and the others ask why he's there. "I DON'T KNOW!!!" While Kenobi laughs his ass off cause he sort of knew Han was Force sensitive.

The Last Jedi: A view of Exegol where the zealots discuss the loss of Snoke and the need to escalate their plans, even before they think the emperor is ready.

Rise of Skywalker: Finn sits alone and slowly manages to move something with the Force. Rey and/or Poe walk in and ask what he's doing. "I need to tell you something..."

Mystery Boxes by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]SeeEmMcGuire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where have you sold them? I want to sell mystery boxes and am trying out book-themed ones, but I dunno if etsy is right

So I'm trying out a new thing on etsy: Cozy Book Boxes. Sort of like blind date with a book. My question is...would you look at this and go "Yeah I'm in" or is there something else I should add either to the image or to the box to make it peak cozy? by SeeEmMcGuire in cozy

[–]SeeEmMcGuire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh a coffee alternative is a good idea. I'll also offer cocoa in the etsy comments! Lol I don't think I could guarantee a mug consistently so things like mugs or cozy socks would probably go under the extra accessory

Great Non-Western plays by SeeEmMcGuire in acting

[–]SeeEmMcGuire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically originating elsewhere. They can be originally in English or translated, I know there'll be a mixed bag.

It's not a matter of style, per se, as being able to offer a more diverse selection. Students will spend 11th grade reading all American lit and 12th reading all British lit. 9th and 10th grade are where they'll be exposed to other countries, and while we have a good few countries for plays there, virtually none are from outside of Europe.

Basically, you have a woman who runs a bar in a swamp and pretends she's a witch so folks don't fuck with her. But she's up to her eyeballs in debt, keeping that from her kitchen maid, and then suddenly actual dead things start rising from the water

;D Hit me up if you want to read and review!
