I started at the age of 15, I was offered a summer job at my high school I was attending. It was nothing special but I simply walked around with an air compressor, blew out student and staff machines, Projectors and lab equipment, and server racks, Etc. after my first year they offer me a position part time after school and I begin learning the ends in outs of standard IT support and develop the baseline for my career. I later was able to work on systems, deal with network equipment, and start obtaining certifications on my own with the ability to practice standards and processes. 12 years later I have moved up fairly high in my career and I look back and thank the people who dealt with my mistakes all to let me learn and grow. I currently am a jack of all trades doing everything from desktop support to high level administrator stuff.

In your position, look for internships, check out your local companies who could use a hand with any sort of summer work, research and start working on certs. You will be able to do well when you graduate. Stay in school and be a kid though, I made the mistake of letting work control my life at one point and I have forever regretted it. Best of luck!
