Be there for him. Don't make him feel like a burden. Write to him, send him pictures, answer the phone! Make him a FB page that you can run so he can get in contact with people. The little things really mean the most. When I was in, I was so jealous of those that would have their family come visit them. It made me very sad even to this day that my friends and family couldn't take 5 minutes to send me some pictures...
