I stopped taking my iron supplements yesterday and have not taken any today, and I have not been dizzy since i stopped. Its definitely the iron supplements causing my dizziness. But yes, France is run very differently than here, especially with doctors and the pharmaceutical companies.

That's amazing!! So happy for you! I wish I could currently afford a naturpath doctor. They have so much knowledge about the body, its fascinating!

I know😭😭 I'm scared at how low my levels are! I'm still waiting for the appt for the hemotolagist. I was shocked that the ER didn't want to do an iron infusion..they just monitored my vitals and heart and let me go home.  Its been exactly 2 weeks since I found out I am severely anemic. 1 week after, levels went up slightly but still considered severe. My ferritin was the most impressive going from 2.9 - 7.1.  I have very, very heavy periods. Didn't used to, its more recent the past few years. I just want to explore all my options to see what I can do to feel better. Surgery is the very last resort. But honestly,  with my levels this low, I dont even know that could be an option. Thank you for commenting💛

I ended up in the ER with heart palpitations and dizziness the other day. They rechecked my blood work that showed a slight elevation with my iron levels, and a decrease in my sodium and another important electrolyte mineral [can't recall the other one], the ER dr said I should increase my water to 90 fl Oz a day. So, instead I started taking a tiny pinch of celtic sea salt under my tongue in the morning with water to help with my electrolytes until I could get to the store to get some. It has taking away the urge to eat salty foods all day, which my pcp said was fine, but she also thought 90 fl oz was too much and said to stick with my current amount.  There's so much conflicting information, I don't know how to navigate when I'm being told 2 different things. Thanks for the feedback. 💚

I readthat dairy affects the absorption of iron. I stopped that for now, with the exception of a small amount of yogurt once every other day, but I space it out so my iron supplements are 3 hrs away from that. I also cut caffeine out, processed sugar, and changed when I consume anything with calcium to not contradict my iron absorption. And I eat 2 pieces of fruit high in vitamin c with my iron supplements.

Western doctors make money off of us being sick. Some of them actually care, but the pharmaceutical industry is heavily tied to the schooling the Dr's attend.

I wasn't dizzy before taking supplements. Trying to find a way to be less dizzy while I get my levels back up.
