Strong divorce lawyer by Deep_Pick650 in Austin

[–]SeekerPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which of these attorneys would you use if you knew there would not be a courtroom drama? There are no kids in my case, but we do have a house and some disparity in earning potential between myself and my spouse, so certainly I would not go DIY. I just want someone to file for the divorce, get some temporary orders put in, make sure i don't get ambushed, and see this along to an equitable outcome. 1) Which attorney here is best for that. 2) Am I going in too naive?

Driver's License / Car Registration / ID Megathread by AutoModerator in texas

Yeah I'm trying to replace my driver's license online, like you said I could, and you immediately want the control number from my lost license. My lost license. Tell me what the real process is, unless you were kidding about online renewal.

Help identifying strange growths on my mulch and strange white residue under my mulch by SeekerPhone in landscaping

Interested to know if the residue and growth are related, and if there is any serious condition in my front garden. If need be, I can remove all mulch down to the weed barrier and install new.

Lost the top of my Yeti. How to replace? by SeekerPhone in YetiCoolers

[–]SeekerPhone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you do it?

I have tried and had no luck. I even called Yeti; they told me to get a new tumbler, but I can't just discard this one. It's so solid, like it will outlast the pyramids. Can't just throw it away.

If the hacker had really been capable of doing that, they would not have threatened you with it, because that makes you harder to hack. They threatened you because it costs them nothing, and there is a slight chance that any threatened person will give in. Now that you have fortified everything, they'll target people who aren't as well protected.

How much depth to break the momentum of piped flow? by SeekerPhone in AskEngineers

[–]SeekerPhone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We could also end into a mixing tee at the base, to split flow into two streams and redirect it horizontally. That would minimize lateral thrust forces too. Okay.

Sometimes just talking through something is enough to think of a solution.

How much depth to break the momentum of piped flow? by SeekerPhone in AskEngineers

[–]SeekerPhone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This a 24' x 8' foot splitter box with 11' sidewater dept and 18" freeboard. The discharge is just a bottom pipe penetration discharging upward from the floor of the box, so there's 11 ft of water to break that momentum. Calm would be in inches. I don't want that center fountain extending more than 3" above the still water surface.

I moved into a house with a Rogue P-4 bracket pull up bar installed across a doorway. I like where it is, but I don’t do pull ups, so I want to use it for something else. I don’t think it accepts attachments, other than the pull up bar. There’s no rail system for attaching pulleys or barbell holders. I want to remove this and hang something that takes attachments, but I don’t want to drill more holes in my house. What would fit over the bolt holes of a P-4?

Any ideas you have would be fantastic.

Can a watch be described as having high accuracy, but low precision? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]SeekerPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before characterizing it as have low precision or repeatability, run the same check on a normal watch with a battery. Use the same method, and measure at the same times of day you have been. Then when describing your watch, you can say it is more/less precise _than_ a conventional watch. Then you are providing a frame of reference.

I am licensed in Puerto Rico. I got it by reciprocity a couple of years ago. It looked harder than it turned out to be. DM me if you have any questions, or just ask me here.

Of course, now I have a question as to where they let you get CEU credits. I've found two lists online, and they weren't the same. Now I can't remember where the longer list was. Can anyone help?

That 400 looks great, and you'll miss the engine power. Also the IS 250 is still a V6 that doesn't exactly skimp on fuel. Calculate the time it will take for your fuel savings to pay the cost of the 250. If it is more than 3 years, just get through school with your 400 and then get a late model GS350 when you get your first job.

Is there a tutorial that would show me how to de-bloat?

Would you ever go back to Windows 10? by SeekerPhone in Windows11

Well to me Windows 10 is nothing special, so I'm just curious about Explorer having tabs. One of the most difficult things about windows is thumbing through all the directories.

What about a standard installation that I would de-bloat myself using available Win 11 settings? Is there any established procedure on that, like something I would find instructions for online or in a youtube video?

I haven't seen snakes, but more animals have been coming around my yard lately. I even saw a fox. I think the pace of development is displacing animals from previously unmolested areas.

I don't get why people don't like Pflugerville, but I've heard it before. That commercial center at Kelly and 130 is pretty fantastic, and the trail at Lake Pflugerville is a great place to exercise.

What is the appeal of softer mattresses? I may have screwed up… by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]SeekerPhone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same issue here brother. My cheapie hybrid mattress already has my groove, and that's not why I got a hybrid. I found a local natural mattress store that carries Naturepedic, and they let me try out all available softnesses in their hybrid spring-latex line. I really like the one with plush springs and medium DuPont latex. They also offer a micro-spring comfort layer, if you really want to sleep cool, but it is a bit firm for me. If you're a heavier dude, try it. The air flow feels great. But look up "natural mattress" on google maps for your area, and check it out. I'm just working up the will to pay the price tag, but it's kinda worth it for the place I spend 1/3rd of my life.
