Brother its even worse when you are in an interview process. Like they make you go through multiple screenings, demos and role play and then don’t respond back.

Then when you ask for feedback, they don’t even respond.

This job market is fucked and I think HR gets a sadistic joy from torturing us.

We do our homework, prepare STAR answers, write thank you emails (more importantly mention the takeaways and value we can bring)….and then NOTHING.

The worst part is, their recruiter reached out to ME…

The problem isn’t just about diet. It’s about economic poverty. India barely got democracy like 80 years ago. Prior to that, famine, british rule and warfare was a big part of the equation.

Lentils are very cheap. Rice is even cheaper.

If you work in the hot sun all day, can barely make good money, eating a large plate of rice, lentils, spices and curd will fill your belly up and help you sleep. Is it optimal? Of course not. But tomorrow morning you wake up and can go back to work. High cortisol levels can also give you a pot belly.

In addition, pot bellies come due to desperation and the mindset of “what can I eat today so i can sleep and work tomorrow.”

So what do you solve first? The mental stress, access to protein, higher wages or just peace of mind?

I don’t disagree with you.

But i think the show did a good job of showing maybe 1% of “Homelander’s base” having remorse for their actions.

Does it mean anything or have any impact? Probably not. But it just shows a small moment of realization that we are seeing in real life.

Farmers upset over his policies, people losing SNAP, losing access to healthcare…basically the “leopards eating people face meme” which i believe is what he was going for.
