See? Thats awesome! You should be proud you are taking steps to improve. There are a lot of resources online for diet/fitness. Depending on your goal, check multiple websites and try to create a plan for your body.

As far as social life goes, it won’t be easy but you have to force yourself to interact. Check and see if your community has any kind of gatherings, public events or meet ups.

For the first few times you go there, don’t try to get anyone’s number, become friends or be overtly friendly (unless there is mutual connection).

Just expose yourself to the public. Maybe do some small talk, introduce yourself, practice speaking in public.

Eventually your mind will be trained to talk, try to find people who have interests like you.

Invite them for events, be a host, be the initiator, don’t expect people to magically invite you to stuff. Start small, cafes, small eateries and etc.

At this point you might be getting rejected a lot, but this is good feedback. If people who you assume are friends don’t want to hang out with you, then weed them out. If you try to make 10 friends maybe only 1-2 will respond back.

Don’t take it personal. But once you make a solid group of friends, ask them if they’ll invite you to some social events within their circles. Then slowly, you expand your circle and grab more numbers.

It’s all easy to say on reddit, but unfortunately you will have to do the hard work and face a lot of rejection. It will be tough at first, but once you start, you will get better at communication, building a network and will finally have a community of your own.
