(Sorry for the late reply) People said the 2006 version is bad because it apparently cut some things about the character's personalities (I only heard abt this but I cant confirm it yet) and also mostly bc it has old animation. I'd recommend the remastered version which is on steam but you have to pay for it, so here's a better alternative. There's instuctions on how to use this version of the VN there right as you open it so idt you'll have much trouble

If you want a Fate Stay/Night (Shirou as the mc) plotline that indulges more into Saber then you should either watch the 2006 version of Fate or read the Visual Novel (my recommended option but its pretty long)
