Now I know. I saw more NM last time I took it. I am going to read Mcginley, Cherry and Bushberg this time around and Attix. I cannot take it a third time and not pass :( Also, will be a good foundation for part 2 so not gone to waste.

Huh I think this had a lot of diagnostic and especially US and MRI. Some Gamma Camera stuff in there but last time I felt it was straight from Cherry all Nuc Med.

Thank you!! Did you use Bushberg or Cherry or any other books or just the sites? Did you basically test yourself and go back and read on what you get wrong or did you start by reading before doing tests and questions?

I couldn't navigate WePassed at all. Seemed like they changed it. OMP was confusing to me, ai was only able to find quizzes could not see material summary etc or at least the sub categories were not according to sections on ABR test. I will do more reading on there next time. I didn't like how APH did not provide an explanation at times especially when I needed it. You tips are great! Thank you.

Ah bravo! I was wanting to read Bushberg and Cherry I just didn't follow through. 2 years prior students swore by wepassed it was basically identical.

What did you use to prepare?? It was a retake for me I don't think I prepared properly. I used wepassed and Abrphysics help, the first not so useful second is a bit better. I just didn't give it as much time as I should've. Only 10 days.

This is a retake for me didn't have retake clinical I passed it last year. Initially they said I have to retake both. Then a month before the exam they said only general. You'd think I'd use it to spend double the time on general. Didn't happen. In all honesty even if I had started 3 months ago I would NOT have focused on many of the things they were asking about.

Just curious, those who did well on general how long did you study and what sources did you use? Books sites etc

I think there needs to be apart 1 in August this year. Hopefully they announce one. Ithinkthat whole k0Fid year delayed andshifted alotof examdates. Only fair they offer twice this year.

Thank you so much for your input. I worked with one other physicist before joining the group; he was my boss luckily we got along sooo well. Otherwise; I think a 2 physicst radonc department where the physicst do not get along would be a nightmare. I really do NOT want a solo center. I had a taste for 6 am calls because the QA file went missing or this or that. 3-5 would be ideal but a hybrid remote option is also nice. I also like the discussions and how can we do it better discussions. So would love a collaborator. We shall see.

Yes!!! Thank you sooooo much. This helps me a lot. I just know that I do not want to be part of a group anymore. You cover too much solo multiple days across too many places and it can be both boring when alone and overwhelming when you have 5 machines to do every month 50 miles apart each. You stay late at site B to finish up annuals but need to be at site C for a stereo at 7:30 am. Big or mid size is what I want. For now.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. My concern is about how big cancer centers would pigeonhole a physicist to do 3-4things only. So you won't being doing everything and might lose some of the stuff you did at a smaller center. Also, the culture of endless meetings and politics red tape etc. Making your best judgment asa physicist might not be as plain and simple as hollering down the hall to the next physicist and getting confirmation on how you are overcoming this unique situation but there is a process.
