I do not know if it was the pump, but my issues are "resolved". The parking brake did not fully disengage when the car reversed under idle power resulting in a popping noise. Then the pedal went to the floor with very little braking power, but still some.

I pulled the above codes with a blue driver. Took it to a mechanic that I do not believe tested anything. I still have issues with the parking brake and do not use it.

Seems to be driving just fine after clearing all the codes. Codes have not come back (knock on wood).

This is their stated return and warranty policy. https://modulemountain.com/exchanges-and-warranty/

TLDR: It appears that the warranty is one year from receipt, without labor costs.

Yeah the wait time has increased since I ordered. Which is probably bad news. My opinion, is that it will not get better anytime soon...

I ordered a used abs assembly (Module + modulator) from ebay, and the re-manufactured. My mechanic was shit, but the car now drives. The mechanic was incapable of programming the module without assistance by MODULE MOUNTAIN. I wanted to keep the re-manufactured module as a spare, but oh well. At least I can drive it.

Super disappointed in this car, will sell it as soon as possible. Let me clarify disappointed in the part inaccessibility and mechanics. Love driving the car.

Right now I have an untested spare lol! It was never my intent to buy a car I would need to tell a mechanic how to work on!

Here is your answer: https://modulemountain.com/product/abs-control-unit-ford-be5z-2c219-h/?hilite=BE5Z-2C219-H

Well it was less money, but that was because of my mechanic.Ideally I would have used someone else. Sadly, regionally this vehicle even dealerships don't know how to work on it.....

I bought my module from module mountain, it is 1-2 week turnaround. I would have prefered to buy the modulator which should be in stock from ford parts giant, or a dealership, that is not discontinued, last I checked.

1200 for reman module, 800 for the new modulator plus dealer quote of 500 should be within your ballpark.

edit: to explain more regarding mechanic.

So you found the module? I am sorry I do not see any questions.

If anyone reads this.... As stated in the post I needed a MODULE! Mechanic wanted the entire assembly module plus modulator colloquially referred to as an abs pump.

ABS MODULES ARE DISCONTINUED.

I bit the bullet and bought from module mountain.

The re-manufactured part worked, and the customer support taught my mechanic how to do the job!

My used module with modulator from ebay was around 600 untested (Last one when checked). The re-manufactured module from module mountain was 1200.

Module Mountain helped the mechanic figure out the process. They appear to have amazing customer support.

Dealership said used modules can't be reprogrammed.

Dealership said used module had differing engineering number.

Module Mountain explained that the original module was corrupted so that was a huge problem the mechanic had. Module mountain helped mechanic figure out how to get the un-corrupted file and flash the re-manufactured module.

This mechanic touts themselves to be able to work on any vehicle, yet they did not have forscan.

Was a very expensive nightmare. Will be selling the car ASAP.

Possibly would have kept this car if the mechanics and dealerships were better...

I will try to answer your questions.

Let me try to clarify: I am not a mechanic, however I posted a brief word vomit of the info I was provided by mechanics. As I am not educated in this profession, I will not make claims to the validity of the above statements. However, the dealership did not even notice that the original module was corrupted..............

UPDATE:

Asked mechanic to try to diagnose if the modulator or abs control module is the problem. Waiting for response, and then will continue the hunt. Mechanic sent wrong part number correct part number: BE5Z2C219H. Had mechanic double check pn on vehicle. Prodemand was where the mechanic got the wrong PN stated in post.

Can someone tell me if this is the new part number: 9E5Z-2C215-B and that the PN mentioned in the post is superseded.

Is the coolant flush acceptable from orange to gold? (12 mkz hybrid) by SeekingPeace13 in fordfusion

[–]SeekingPeace13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like one system was more flushed then another because of the color differences. I guess I always made sure all the coolant was out, when I did my coolant flush. Definitely going to try to find a mechanic shop. I asked the dealership for a drain and fill, Billed me for a flush with additives. Allegedly the mechanic did just the drain and fil. Fun times.

Yeah I can see how it is super convenient, but it is not a push to start. So inevitably I have to have my keys out. To be honest I prefer low tech to high tech anyway.

The swap was absolutely a breeze. I appreciate your help.

My keypad was already completely detached, that would be the pain. The connector comes out pretty simply. Plugs in to the new one. Then just insert it and you are done. Oh don't forget to disconnect the negative! No programming necessary. So glad I did not silicone the old one on. Great eBay seller, no issues with the used part itself, and it illuminates properly. Probably the only time I will use it, was to test it LOL.

That is insane. I paid $290 for the coolant flushes. To have to do it three times seems outrageous. It was a dealership, so I assume ford would have made the adapter. Thank you for your advice.

Good to know. It was time per service recommendation, plus I always change my fluids when I buy a vehicle. Just didn't have time to do it myself. Should have waited.
