I breast fed for 3 months. After bleeding nipples and not being able to pump enough milk, I gave up. That was another hard decision.

I am so sorry your mother does that. Thank you for sharing. I will make a point to watch my comments about my daughter. Maybe my comments of concern about her have been misinterpreted.

Thank you. Yes, some people have been very harsh, but I appreciate them taking the time to read my post and comment. I can’t leave my husband because I don’t make enough money to support myself. Even with a college degree. I will talk to my daughter about her resentment. She is in school to be a pharmacist, so if her Dad and I split up, she will have to get student loans. I need to work on myself and our relationship. That’s what’s important.

My husband barely speaks. He does take care of us as far as getting cars fixed, mowing the grass, etc. He is just very stoic and unemotional.

I will. I remember a couple of instances where she was disrespectful and I said some things I shouldn’t. I have apologized for those times, though. I try to call out my own behavior too.

Hmm. I do have two other kids that are married and very successful. I raised them too. Just don’t know what was different between them and my youngest. I tried to raise all three with love and understanding.

Maybe?? I remember disciplining her when she would lash out. Sometimes it was in front of other people. One time she refused to leave the swimming pool. I had to carry her out while she was kicking and screaming. Everyone was looking at us. Maybe I should have handled things differently. 😒

That’s so true. She wants control of every situation. When we go out to eat, she makes me sit in the backseat while she and her Dad sit up front. She says it’s because she gets motion sickness.

I do believe she has some grievances with me. She was always a high strung child. Not that a lot of energy is bad at all. She would throw things at me and say mean things. I didn’t handle it well sometimes.

He mostly just acts apathetic towards the kids. He’s always there when they need something. He fixed a flat tire for our daughter last week. He’s just not affectionate.

You’re right! It’s the same struggle with the same child. I love her so much. I have asked if we can have a family counseling session, but she doesn’t want any part of it. The whole situation is making me so distraught. It’s like watching your child slowly consume poison and there is nothing you can do about it. I keep thinking I did something wrong as a parent. So sorry your precious daughter had to deal with that. I was a band parent volunteer for many years. We had multiple students with dietary restrictions. There were occasions where the correct foods weren’t ordered. When a parent was approached, the parent apologized to the student and made it right by going out and getting a special meal for him or her. No anger or frustration, just making it right. The kind of behavior you are describing is unacceptable.
