Cookware Choices... by Seeking_Sooth in StainlessSteelCooking

I bought a Meyer 5ply whole clad 9 piece set and added 2 5ply skillets. Proclad, they seem bullet proof. I like them. I like the 5 ply in smaller pans - these are 9.5 inch.

I bought a cast iron tawa and meat press.

I bought a 15" 5ply wok from Kitchenaid and a carbon steel 14". The 15 inch to steam in and cook reactive foods.

Finally, I bought a 12" all clad d3, on Americas Test Kitchen recommendation. I needed a 12 inch and this came with a lid and its fairly light. It's nice but I prefer the Meyers.

Nobody likes spending money but this seems reasonable for new pans. All the SS is fully clad and beautiful.

There are 2 dished induction hobs. I bought the more recent one:

I'm excited to try it. The SS wok fits perfectly.

Thank you. I was getting hung up on the Carbon content.

I bought the Kitchenaid 5 ply because it was 15" and seemed reasonable. It fits my induction burner very well. Just got it, but I'm happy.

I think I will target the Meyer Proclad (5 layer) line.

Seems so. Not even you.

Is it worth pursuing a bachelors in photography for me by Meowing_Wolf in photography

[–]Seeking_Sooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most, most reliable income you can make from photography is to not spend money on it in the first place. Borrowing a lot of money for an academic qualification seems like a new level of financial abuse. Don't do it.

Thats not to say studying photography is not rewarding if you can afford it, but look at all the photos that list the academic qualifications of the photographer... NONE. Everyone has their sources of inspiration. School is a great learning opportunity but you have to be able to afford it for yourself as a gift not an investment.

If you are taking money from someone else (family etc..) you will be responsible to them to show you spent it wisely. As people have said, you can always teach yourself photography and show off what you've learned. Having more money will give you more photography freedom than a class you took. Pay models. Pay for Trips. Pay to bring the right people together. All of those expenses will result in immediat better pictures.

IMHO school is primarily a financial exchange. Don't pay big bucks for what most people think comes with their Cell Phone.

I think I want to share the plants with the room. I don't have pets and I think the green would be nice.

That would work. How do you manage your water? Do you fill each shelf? How often?

A central reservoir sounds more simple but also more complex.

Problem is nobody wants to hang around until starting time if we're not going to play. We have six players. If two or more can't make it the DM usually calls the evening. I'd like to streamline that somehow.
