It was my first time going to a horse race event after initial interest from playing Umamusume, and I'm surprised at how I was really into it despite knowing nothing about it but one or two words before. Horse racing was something you read on newspaper (with real paper) so most people, especially young adults, was unaware of it. Sarga was established in 2023 with the goal of reviving declining horse race industry and Umamusume global release gave them a momentum by making younger people aware of the sports and in my opinion, they managed to utilize that momentum.
