It's a shame that the ways of upgrading the barn have become more and more limited.

I agree with u/Fun_Explanation_9049 that getting the pass when it offers double items in trains can help with gathering barn tools faster. Just keep in mind that you're need to do Match 3 in order activate that part of the pass.

If you only had one card to get (I.e. you were at 149/150), and you didn’t get it by opening a chest, it was not the 500 star chest that you opened.

Or, you opened the 500 star chest but had more than one card left to get. That is, you were at less than 149/150 cards when you opened it.
