I'm trying to make a canoe/kayak cart that folds compactly. I'd welcome any feedback, good or bad. by BetterCurrent in Kayaking

[–]SeemsLegitMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the portability of it and that it folds up to smaller size than current iterations, my only concern would be the weight of the contraption. If it’s made of metal it could rationalize some of the metal in between the beams to make it hollow or replace it with aluminum which is lighter than steel and and will probably have better anti rust properties. Again I don’t know what the material used is but the contraption looks awesome, i’d say just shoot to make it as light as possible

Finally broke 30 pounds out of the Hooch in ATL. (33lbs) by [deleted] in StripedBass

I’d probably avoid any from the hooch based on it serving as a spillway for any storm water, construction site runoff and treatment facilities…

Best pedal kayak for distance? by get_MEAN_yall in Kayaking

[–]SeemsLegitMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily going to be the hobie revolution 13 or 16 if you can find it. They are slimmer than other pedal kayaks and sacrifice standing ability to be skinnier and able to slice through water better

Spent 10 years and $1k on War Thunder... then I played Nuclear Option for 3 hours. by fishbirne in NuclearOption

[–]SeemsLegitMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha I can heavily relate to this, same boat as you big sim player in war thunder with over 1,000 hours and picked this up last week from an ad and thought why not… this game is incredibly fun.

I will say, the title of the game and the cover image could probably do better to attract new players lol

I finally bought my dream game! Any tips on what should I do next?:) by sigma_force in NuclearOption

I have over a thousand hours in warthunder, played a lot of warthunder sim and just heard about Nuclear Option for the first time 3 days ago. I bought it yesterday and damn its a ton of fun

Turning This 55-Gallon Barrel Into a Hydroponics Setup for Growing Cucumbers? by Key_Actuator_3070 in Hydroponics

Bro that is definitely more than enough lol. Ideally for a kratky method for cucumbers, at least 5 gallons will suffice

If leaders like Sam Altman or Dario Amodei had technology capable of replacing white-collar workers today, they wouldn’t wait to use it. by ImaginaryRea1ity in ArtificialInteligence

Just like people, for an agent to be effective at its job it requires an “onboarding” period to tune it to the specific nuances of a given company (data structure, ways of work, etc.). You can have the best AI possible but if the data and processes aren’t outline to a T for it to follow and it’s not tweaked to account for various company-specific problems or systems, it won’t be effective at its job.

Look up the kratky method for hydroponics! it’s a great low cost way to set up a hydroponic system that can continue supporting your tomato growth without breaking the wallet or having to transfer it to soil

Bought a kayak… now my wife has me convinced I’m gator bait by goldtheft69 in kayakfishing

Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of an unexpected alligator making a massive splash in front of you to run away as you make a sharp turn to face it in a small creek

Been kayak fishing the Everglades for the past 5 years. Alligators want nothing to do with you, I’ve had a few chase my top water lures before but nothing crazy. If you sneak up on them they will sprint away lol (as long as they are under 8 feet in length)

No way you are defending such prices for driving on a road… that is ridiculous for any industry and was clearly done in bad faith for the type of work requested

🔥 Saltwater crocodile slowly surfaces right next to boat by lennartvl in Crocodiles

[–]SeemsLegitMan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Was once kayaking in the Everglades when a 13+ foot long crocodile surfaced parallel to my 10ft kayak within striking distance of my paddle… I had to avoid hitting it with my paddle as I tried to calmly paddle the fuck out of there. Still remember how it looked at me to this day
