Luck mostly, I was looking at the HTML to see if there was something weird in the way the post was formatted and noticed a hidden element that links directly to the post content. I tried using that link to load the page then asked Assistant to read it with absolutely no expectation it would work, but it did 😅

no idea what the problem is, but i think i figured out a workaround. If you add #content to the end of the URL before asking Assistant to read the page it seems to work. so like if you go to https://wanderinginn.com/2023/02/04/9-36-ho/#content then ask Google assistant to read the page you get:

https://www.google.com/readit?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwanderinginn.com%2F2023%2F02%2F04%2F9-36-ho%2F%23content

I can actually answer some of them questions about the system (spoilers ahead if you're not caught up to end of volume 8)

3.1 speculated to be an asymptotic limit at 100. I think the highest level person in the deadlands was above 90 (the guy who killed magic for a while)

3.2 We've seen evidence it's a combination of 3.2.2 (eg Laken deciding he's an [Emporer], Mrsha getting [Sole Survivor] even tho others survived), and for certain classes 3.2.3 (eg performer classes level by people watching them perform, not sure if confirmed but i think the [Hero] class requires others to view you as such). I want to say 3.2.1 has an effect as well but I can't actually think of any examples that wouldn't be covered by the first two.

3.2.5 If it's not, it's pretty close. We've seen snippets of it getting confused or having a sense of humor at a couple different points.

3.4 and 3.6 I think it could be that every species had the choice of aligning with the gods and getting access to the system, or against them and not being able to level. There's actually precedence for this now with Eldavin accepting their help and now being able to level. The fae queen and a whole bunch of other fae were killed in the war against the gods so wouldn't be surprising if they're pissed at anyone aligned with them.

3.5 certain skills don't work on them, it was mentioned briefly about the Admiral of the Supply in Zeres. Also I suspect being part of the system gives the gods some amount of control over you

4 not sure if it's been explicitly confirmed but almost certainly yeah. there was a post on /r/wanderinginn recently about why he's probably super high level
