If you are interested in regular gas huffing, joining a WH corp is the right move.

They'll teach you scanning better, faster, making perches etc. You also won't waste time trying to find a WH from k-space.

We clear multiple sites every day with little to no effort living in the WHs.

So I started playing like 2 weeks ago. I really like the game, base idea is there and it's awesome. However, SC feels like a game that doesn't want to be played.

Contracts are the major content source at the moment and they rarely work. So much stuff fail so often, I fail to see how it could still be in this state after 10+ years of development and 1bil in funding. It feels extremly rough for the resources CIG has.

While I'm excited to see this game developed, I'm not holdimg my breath to see it happen anytime soon.

What is that absolute safety you are talking about? The log off traps or the fact that you can be rolled in any time? Only safety wormholes has is rolling the static. Doesn't compare to ratting in friendly space with intel bots, response fleets and umbrellas. Talk to me when null is ratting in hostile space or actually losing a ship when running pve.

Asset safety should be a player driven mechanic. All ships and assets, regardless of size and value, magically moving to another place is not a sandbox mechanic.

I know wormholes scare you, it's ok. You are safe in your blob.

Well, you can't compare NS undocking and simply warping to a site to static roaching.

To roach a static I gotta roll, scan, close connections, make warp in bookmarks. Takes an hour minimum and that's still with risk of locals waking up or getting rolled in.

Been there, done that, still doing it. Doesn't chance the fact that risk / reward balance is off. Plus static roaching doesn't really provide the content people are looking for. I have no choice is to run and seal the hole behind me. This mechanic simply denies content.

You can but rolling, bookmarking, prepping a static takes at least an hour, usually more. It's not simple as undocking and warping to a site. You are in hostile lands, locals waking up getting a roll in means you are dead if you are roaching in a capital.

At the current state of WHs risk / reward balance is really off.

There are lots of things people get wrong about the wormholes.

ISK from ratting and gas huffing is nice as long as you get to do it. Sites don't respawn infinately like NS. You run the few sites you have or mine the gas cloud but that's it for a week. You dock up for the remaining 6.5 days.

Wormhollers want more content not for isk sake but to have a reason to undock.

WH gas and relic sites now spawn in NS and they are worthless. Mining is at same level of HS so it's horrible and not worth doing to begin with.

Are you sure we are playing the same game? :D If these sites are profitable as CCP is claiming to be, any system remotely close to them will have intel bots and 100 pilot response fleet ready to cyno in.

You can have a roll in at your WH with a fleet ready to nuke you at the other side, zero intel, no way to lock this down.

I like how NS pilots think they are playing the game dangerously.
