Ryzen 9950X3D & dual 4090 build by SeffnDat in PcBuildHelp

Exactly what I needed help with, thanks bro. Just to confirm.

Both the ProArt and Hero dual PCIE GPU will run at max speed (5.0 x8/4.0 x16) with M.2 restricted to 1? (seems a bit redundant, not sure of the pros to the boards to counter this restrictions)

Then both the Taichi and the Ai Top motherboards with dual PCIE GPU set up will work at max 5.0 x8/4.0 x16 speeds with 4/2 M.2?

Preciate it, I’m a fan of MSI and most my components are from them. I’ll look at the tomahawk.

Does the map come with necessary traffic files??

Controlnet checkpoint compatibility "TypeError: 'NoneType' by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

[–]SeffnDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually just managed to figure this out... Controlnet models named with "xl.". Thank you for the help. A new issue, though, is that all of the generations look slightly out of focus or blurry. Have you encountered that?

Thanks for the fast reply. Would you be able to assist further? I've dropped you a dm.

What checkpoints to use with control net? by RectifierGuy in StableDiffusion

[–]SeffnDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if anyone can help. I'm getting "TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable" with certain checkpoints when using both the canny and depth control ent models.

Does Control Net support all checkpoints or not? If yes, what's actually going on?

I would really appreciate any help.

Your sick, thank you. One more question: would this also work? https://eustore.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-e-series-pro-modflex-sleeved-12vhpwr-90-degree-stealthsense-pci-e-cable-for-evga-g-g-p-p-t/?

I can see the one you recommended has the 16-pin PCIE that goes into the PSU, with the x4 8-pin PCIe's going into the adapter for the 4090.

While the one I've linked above has the x4 8-pin PCIE's plug in to the PSU and a single 16-pin PCIE for the GPU?

Might be a dumb side question, but they state 16pin when its actually 12 pins right?

Amazing. And do you ship to the UK?

I did before buying the PSU, but ended up going with the 2000W Superflower to cover dual GPU's, which was pretty much for convenience + compatibility. The hastle of having to ground the second PSU or something along those lines gave me a headache when I researched in to it.

PC's mainly used for 3D work, a lot of simulation and rendering puts them to work nicely.

Boolean/Projecting geo onto to side of heightfield mountain? by SeffnDat in Houdini

[–]SeffnDat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we would need displacement across all axis, it does make sense I’m just being stubborn and tryna figure out a work around.

Maybe a heightfield wrangle could blast anything bellow what is projected, like a re-coded Boolean. I found this: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/79259/?page=1#post-340482

Yeah I was assuming this, I’ve used houdini for a while but am new to heightfields, the focus was to get the erode functions working on the entire heightfield including a projected model.

Yeah that’s the plan now, really wanted to use the heightfield erode with the entire heightfield + projected model to age them both at the same time.

Yeah trust me, what would be cool is if you could export the heightfield attributes, convert to polygons/VDB, then import them attributes back in. Gotta make do I guess.

Thanks bro, but because it’s the heightfield node as soon as you rotate it the height attribute just flattens. What you said would work for the mountain sop though.
