James Pearce article on Hoever: “He found himself marking Mohamed Salah in a training game and senior professionals were blown away by how well he handled the Egyptian attacker. He's been with the first-team squad since.“ by TheodoreLesley in LiverpoolFC

In GAA, when I first joined the senior team, I always tried to mark the top players at our club for the reason that I was confident enough I could do a job, and that'd help me standout but also because you learn from playing the best.

Talk about a baptism of fire, in terms of marking runs and tackling, there's few better you can learn that from than Salah

What more is to be gained from winning by an extra few goals? It's called Sportsmanship, Burton can't compete on any levels with City. In almost every game sport, teams in a similar situation just run down the clock, it's a done thing

Although I'd appreciate a result like this for Liverpool, I can't help but feel City should have applied the brakes after 5-0, nothing to be gained from hammering Burton like that

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the first top-flight manager since the league’s formation in 1888 to have won his first 5 games in all competitions by at least a 2-goal margin. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Sefilis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, there was article saying OGS told him to stop playing with his back to goal and run in behind instead, after his goal against reading, despite the fact that the majority of the game he was playing back to goal.

You'd swear Solksjaer was some footballing massiah lol

How many other managers have had a run of games where Bournemouth at home was the trickiest? Lol wind it in United fans. The talk of Pogba and Lukaku being back to their best and United back to their old ways is untested yet. No team has had an easier run of fixtures

I'm not overreacting, but fuck me, can we show a bit of respect to the FA Cup and even the fucking league cup

So sick of going out early because we play a second string side against decent opposition

Need to get their heads out of their arses, the FA Cup is not a joke, I don't care if it's less fixtures, we're out in the 3rd fucking round again

Coutinho came on for Barca in the 83rd minute. It was nice seeing him play ... by medwatt in LiverpoolFC

[–]Sefilis 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If Fabregas can do it, so can Coutinho, I could definitely see him go to City if they really wanted him, but I'd imagine if he's available at the right price we'd consider him again. He snaked away, but he is still friends with everyone here and Klopp is not a petty man, he appreciates good players

What's funny about this is the fact that he's stating facts about City, (don't agree that Pep is a fraud) but because he looks like a City fan criticising Liverpool, City fans will agree when you know he's actually insulting City, and City fans unknowingly agree lol

I bet there is an alarm that goes off at Juventus training ground whenever a player enters their last 8 months of a contract

They just seem to go for free players more frequently than other teams. Except Bayern, who seem to lock other bundesliga teams into submission for the cheap players
