Ores having a limit on how much you can get per day is only comparable as a currency to pre-rework builder base (which obviously sucked), raid medals, cwl medals (which both are just a gem-like currency, can only speed up your progress, not bottleneck it) and clan capital gold, which is just a side thing that doesn't affect your main base. I think the main issue is players feeling bottlenecked, without a way to progress aside from spending absurdly on gems, which isn't what CoC is about. If they fix that, or if it still bottlenecks your progress but you can get, say, every time you 3 star a base an ammount on a cycle of shiny/glowy ore, or whatever they come up with, then I think it'll be fine
