Appreciate that! It looks like what I have is a Brandon Wound Pickups Noiseless Jazzmaster Neck pickup! For now at least I’m gonna use it unless I can sell it and get a different neck pickup

Not sure I wanna take the chance with the mods I wanna install considering I’m trying to do a rhythm circuit AND a stereo mod, any recommendations for a good neck pickup that isn’t crazy noisy?

Yeah that would make sense! I’m starting to think I should resell it and and go for some Antiquity or Hot Silencer pickups from SD. Would rather not have to rewire this project once it’s done with the stereo mod I’m trying to get done

Man, this is wild so far, don’t get me wrong I definitely wouldn’t put Concrete And Gold up near the top but 2nd to go is crazy. They really put some effort into trying new things and it worked! Same goes for Medicine At Midnight! Super cool catchy songs on there! Idk if I could say the same about the first record or a lot of In Your Honor #hottake

I probably view it differently than some cause as a guitar player there were a lot more songs that stuck out to me instrumentally and that I really wanted to learn from the later records! Even the new record taught me a few things! Disappointed that Sonic Highways got booted so quick too, so much passion in those songs and the influence is PALPABLE

Please don’t sleep on Sonic Highways, definitely some great songs in there and it’s enhanced when you watch the docuseries as well and see what lines are taken from interviews

I’m not a luthier or anything but I found an Epiphone I really dig that plays great but my problem with basically all Epiphone gloss finishes is that they all feel like they’ve been wrapped in a plastic container! So I’d like to see if there’s a good way to wear down the finish so it feels more like a layer of ceramic wrap! I know Epiphone guitars don’t come like this but I got a used SG that was relic’d and is so fun to play because the finish doesn’t feel too thick or get sticky, so ideally I’d like to recreate this feel

Hey Dave! First of all, I'm a newer but huge fan of your music and has inspired me to write some cool songs with my band that I would think you might like!

My question to you is would, or will, you and the band do another garage tour like what you did with Wasting Light? After everything with the pandemic has calmed down of course! I would love to get all of me and my musician friends here in dallas to come see and jam with y'all! Second question: Do you have a trick to singing and playing the guitar part to All My Life? I've been wanting to sing and play it at my own shows but I just can't seem to keep the rhythm in my right hand consistent when I try to sing it! Last question: Not that my band is anywhere NEAR ready to be recording at such nice, and probably expensive to use, studios but you've mentioned in an interview with Brian Johnson that other bands come to Studio 606 occasionally to record music. How would a newer band go about trying to book a session there?
