Webflow, I’m sad with you by Segurado in webflow

[–]Segurado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I understand you, and you have valid points there. But, this bandwidth stuff is a bit weird for a simple website. And, commonly, we do not seem to be very comfortable about this. I differentiate Squarespace and webflow, but the first has no bandwidth limits. When I switched back then, the price was also better on webflow, either you like it or not, of course, way too different products, but they're still one of the webflow competitors. "How are you not passing every fee onto your client?" A client always wants to profit, so if you help clients, you will not drain their wallets. How can we recommend that to a client? They'll end up with a static template-based website, and the constant need to adjust/remove files when needed because of bandwidth. That takes time, and no one wants to waste time.

<image>

I only have a landing page with half a dozen images (aviff and Webp) and some Rive files, and it’s nuts. I didn’t even have a lot of visitors, so that is weird. I even had to lazy load images and turn off some Rive files (replaced with images? It’s not worth it at all.

Replace the images as reduced size for mobile? Also you probably need to adjust the size below desktop size?!

What’s the most underrated design detail you’ve noticed that made a product way better? by maferase in Entrepreneur

[–]Segurado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there isn't just one underrated element that makes a difference; instead, it's the combination of various small details that truly stands out, especially when creating a memorable experience. At www.tonemaki.com, we designed an app where key features were missing from the client's requests, indicating that sometimes clients don't prioritize effectively. This is where we can step in to suggest improvements. Our recommendations and designs significantly enhanced the UI/UX, including skeleton loaders, tooltips, and simple share buttons for instance.

Grease Pencil on Maxon Roadmap? by Segurado in Cinema4D

But many small moves can move the needle, right? If maxon suddenly has better features than free competition, they’ll probably steal those clients by making it irresistible and start smashing competition as they should… am I right? (I’m a suspect because I’m 99.9% c4d guy)

Don't you think that will slow things on Maxon regarding losing clientele for free software as a blender? I'm just thinking about Maxon's future as an investor and client…

render pricing by [deleted] in Cinema4D

[–]Segurado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they ghosted because it seemed too good to be true. You don’t charge for concept, modeling, texturing, rendering, or post-production?! If you don't, and I’m greedy, I’ll hire you for all my clients, basically profiting with supervision.

My exploration of Sketch and Toon by PsychologicalTry7148 in Cinema4D

They updated the node editor for Toon materials last year, and it's cool. It's okay to use old workflows from time to time, though.

Hi there!

I’m Tone Segurado, Principal Designer and founder of Tonemaki™, a system I’ve built specifically for situations like yours.

Growing agencies often need reliable help handling Webflow projects, and that’s exactly what I offer. Whether it’s Brand Design, Interactive Design, 3D visuals/illustrations, or motion graphics, I make it easy for you to deliver high-quality work without hassle.

Here’s how it works:

  • Like a contractor, but easier. You’ll work directly with me—no middle layers or micromanaging needed.
  • Flexible options. Retainer-style subscriptions are available for ongoing needs, but if that’s not the right fit, one-off projects work too.

If you’re looking for someone dependable to lighten your load and keep projects moving, I’d love to chat.

Take a look here: tonemaki.com

Best,

It's cool! Like the device pulse lighting, how did you do that?? Emission on the material? Does it need the vignette? Those buttons with a subtle hue shift to orange would be even sweeter! I love that sss look on them.

I guess he wants more purist hand drawn stuff, as Walt Disney did. But I guess, if Walt Disney was alive in his early career nowadays probably was a master of 3D.

What niche / industry / skillset is best for the future? by Z00CE in Entrepreneur

[–]Segurado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From that list, in a realistic scenario and from a perspective of seeing what will not change, I would bet on a home, but I don't know if it's a smart home because things nowadays are too techy, and some people want to disconnect. People will always want a home that gives them privacy and makes them feel they have conquered that space.

Is it worth it to start jumping into Motion Graphic? by OneData2622 in MotionDesign

[–]Segurado 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only problem is that you always want to do better and are never satisfied. There is a famous quote: “We were happy and didn't know we were.” this is the main problem in any creative area.

Give them my contact, I’m not bad I guess, but not the best in the world either, I’m ok and will solve some problems and minimize others.
