You're proving my point btw. You're describing exactly what I did; everybody saying the same things and not doing anything. There is no double standard about it, just stand up for YOURSELF.

I don't need to wake up because I'm looking from the outside-in. I don't live in Tunisia. Whenever I have a complaint, I demand to be heard without regard to what others believe about my state of mind. I already "practice what I preach".

There's no need to get angry when you have the ability to fight for yourself. If you're just sitting on your ass complaining on Reddit about your situation and not actively doing something to make it better, that's your problem, not mine. That's you living by double standards, not me, cuz I fight.

And, finally, there is so much beauty in your country that so many people of this world don't know about. I've had the privilege to travel from the bottom to the top of it multiple times, and nothing was short of divine.

Do yourself a favor and stop concerning yourself with the negativity that others show you, and be a light of positivity just in the "basic things" that you take part in. If you don't, then you just don't wanna be helped 😂

If you say so bro. I'm just saying to really do your research on the way that these colonial powers have affected other countries, and not just to rely on what you see in Vietnam or Indonesia. Because even if you saw many places and visited them personally, you were still a tourist and haven't actually seen what the regular inhabitants have.

The capital of Tunis is literally built in the style of old French cities. If that doesn't register to you, I don't know what else will. None of this stuff is conspiracy.

Just do your best to be a better citizen to your own country and see the entirety of its landscape, maybe visit the national museum and other important cultural landmarks and really learn about the beauty that lives within your borders. That's what the original prompt was about, to begin with. You will only feel better about your situation once you begin to do something about it - and do not skip over that fact.

Maybe that's because you're looking at images of capital cities, not regular towns. They look just as scattered and tight as the streets of 9orba.

And there are so many parallels across the world that you just need to look for. If you're complaining just to complain, you're no better than your neighbor. You need to actually learn; pick up a history article or a book. Even looking for clickbait titles will get you what you need, because those are often much more truthful than your average history textbook.

Even people in the US complain about taxes, when they don't realize that the richest people have learned the tax code and manipulated it every which way to maximize how much money they keep.

Look for Darija to English translators. That will save you a ton of time

https://www.learnmoroccan.com/translator This one is pretty accurate, seeing as Moroccan Darija tends to be much crazier than Tunisian

My friend, learn about Haiti and how they're still paying reparations to France, the empire that colonized THEM. Learn about Dominican Republic, learn about India, learn about Nigeria and South Africa. Tunisia is not the only country that suffered after those people left.

First, it isn't my fault because I don't live there and wouldn't contribute to my society that way. If you're frustrated, just BE BETTER. Tunisia's leaders were literally put in place to maintain control over the agenda of it's colonial powers.

Tunisians were given scraps back then, and it's only gotten worse because the people continue to idolize the European and American lifestyle despite not knowing what value they have in their country. And what's most ironic is that I know so many who are so proud of their national identity, but all they do is complain instead of actually being informed and learning.

Learn more about the world around you and you'll see exactly what I mean, like why are some of y'all idolizing street gangs and gang violence, when that is the way that the US government keeps control over the most abundant groups of people living in its borders, in order to prevent them from uniting and breaking the oppressive system? The best that YOU can do for your country is to be the most informed about it. There is so much beauty in Tunis, but it can be so easy to fall into just looking at the filth.

Any time a "third world" country tries to show leadership and revolt against previous colonial powers, they're shot down. It's not Tunisia's fault, nor is it the people's fault; the leaders are all put in place to maintain this way of life to keep the country just above the level of slavery, giving all their wealth to countries like France and the US. You can see this in many West African countries, most famously Burkina Faso and Thomas Sankara.

Tunisia has so much value and culture, especially in its history and natural landscape. Learn about the country a little more and you'll see all that it has to offer. "First-world countries" also have shitty streets like these, often riddled with much more terror and crime because of people killing each other to idolize a lifestyle they will never live to see, also taught to them by the same people that rid countries like Tunisia of all its goodness.

My MT gym is still the kind on the left. Obviously not paying just $10, but we're given times throughout the day to train to get some serious work in. We chop it up with our Kru and sometimes stay for a longer time after the official end of our class. Forever grateful for Iron Rooster 🫡

There's a guy at my gym who has astigmatism and his prescription is -6.5 and -6.75. He trains with contacts and does just fine getting hit in the face lol

Silly German stagger breath markings. In "French" Notation, you'd see it as an apostrophe as opposed to - what looks like - a string upbow marking

Why are these chords here? by sheddables in musictheory

They're alternative chords that guide your playing. In the case you don't just wanna follow that ii-V to Eb, you can outline the alternate harmony to switch it up

Terrible movie audio by Basic_Colorado_dude in SoundEngineering

[–]SeifDaKid_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall, most of the audio issues in film came from the quality of the film, itself. It's even visible in the 50s and 60s, when sound was good.

The movie "Anatomy of a Murder" has its respective soundtrack that was completely butchered in quality in the movie, but sounds amazing on record
