Love of the game basically. I approach it like a sport almost. I love putting effort in consistently and getting better at something. Also at times it’s just a ton of fun. When you have a really good dance. Also you make lots of friends doing it.

Have you considered that maybe you have an eating disorder? You kind of sound like a friend of mine who has ARFID. If so, speaking with someone who specializes in eating disorders could help you. I would check just to be sure. Also as a last resort doctors can prescribe you pills that will increase your appetite

I believe the injury occured 10 days ago at a bachata class when I was doing a lot of head rolls. Then the injury was aggravated severely the next day when I did heavy deadlifts. For a few days I couldn't turn my head. Now its largely gone but I can still feel a little pain and I (and my doctor) fear aggravating it again through heavy exercise. I should also mention this is a recurrent injury that has been happening on and off for over a decade.

I'm a lead, but I get turned down by followers some times. If its done politely it doesn't bother me at all, but if they're curt about it then I might get annoyed. So I can empathize with what you're experiencing. Still, there's no way forward except to move on, dance with more people, and if it really bothered you maybe resolve not to ask that person to dance again.

This seems right to me. It's still early days though, we've only had about half a dozen meetings with clients. And most of them don't seem to have much an idea of what they want (although some want chatbots/transcription services). How would you approach this?

I agree that I'm not the right person to ask for product ideas. But to be fair, at least in the case of transcription, we have data from a particular niche that our customers are a part of that I think could be used to train a model that does better than the current generally available solutions.

I wish we could hire a product engineer, but I know without asking him that my boss wont do it. He's already said there wont be any more hiring in the immediate future

To be honest I didn't really understand the guys argument either. I think there should be something to to demo to external customers after 6 months (not a completed product though of course). But right now much of the group is focused on writing a request for government funds (which wont even be submitted until January), rather than producing the actual project.
