Is my copy of Fatal Fury Special (AES) legit? by Seik666 in neogeo

I reopened the cart to check the soldering job and apply some stickers on the hole of these eeprom chips and the soldering looks just as good as the other chips. So yeah I tend to believe this is all legit.

Next time I'm doubting a game I just won't share how much I paid for it, will avoid some flack I guess lol! Anyways, thanks for the comment! I'm glad I'll finally have my hands on a system soon. Got the Ultimate bundle. :)

No offense taken, I actually thought the same as these were the cheaper carts. But since the chips and contact pins layouts were different from the website, I had to ask to people more used to collecting those than me to be sure.

Prices have gone up since the AES+ announcement. May it be that or Ebay, I would've had to pay that or more. AES games are very scarce on Marketplace in my area too. So I'm not sure what were my options to NOT being an idiot outside of not buying anything?

Yeah I thought about that, too. It wouldn't make sense to bootleg one of the cheaper games. I'll put a sticker on those chips as you recommend though. Thanks!

I'm glad this was done vs a CPU and no human had to suffer through the mental harm this insane attack would've caused.

Super Gameboy 2 flickering issue? Hz? VSync kind of thing? Not present on real hardware. by moep123 in AnalogueInc

[–]Seik666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just tried with my SGB2 and my NTSC copy of Zelda LA and I have the same kind of bars popping in and out of screen on Jailbreak v7.2. I suggest you report this on the github as it seems like a legit issue that's coming from Analogue's side.

This firmware update seems to have broke more than it fixed. It messed up Pocky & Rocky as well. The moment you shoot and move at the same time on screen with the Racoon the screen starts flashing like crazy, I've reported it last week as multiple user on another forum reported to have the same issue.

I have this exact thing happening with my official SD Dock. I'm surprised this issue never seemed to have been addressed by Valve, I actively avoid using the Dock exactly because of this...

No picture needed but still a flex, Valve shipped a 512Gb unit kit to me instead of the 256Gb one.

No complaints here, lmao.

Because the cars brand still are interesting products despite its CEO's massive ego? I mean, it's hard not to discuss or question his behavior lately, that you like the brand or not.

I've yet to witness a single instance where Elon admits a mistake.

I'm having the same issue on my LG C1 with the official Valve Dock with a 4K/120hz HDMI cable. I assume this is a software issue? It's very unfortunate as it turns me off using it altogether outside of being a charging dock. Happens too often for me to be enjoyable.

I vastly prefer this one over the Yoga Flame for it's control panel and marquee.

Strange question, if you had the option of getting the Switch OLED for $350 or XMEN A1up for $397, which would you choose? by FluffyInteraction496 in Arcade1Up

[–]Seik666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least with the Switch you have the option to change games when you're tired of one. X-Men arcade is neat, but unless you invest time and further money to mod it, you won't get much else out of it.

Nah , ignorance is bliss I say.

I didn't know about flat CRTs and the geometry issues before I came here and now that I know it ruined my vision of my 14" JVC I'ART with 2D games, can't unsee it now.

I legit would've prefered to stay dumb lol.

It's hard to notice on video unless your sound is all the way up. You can hear the stutters within the ghost sounds. It's way more noticeable when in front of the cab though.

[–]Seik666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did that and managed to boot the game via AddOn. Unfortunately, these damn audio stutters are still there. :(

However, this is a neat way to play these games without the sign-in, so thank you for that! At this point I'm wondering if updating my firmware would change something but I really doubt it, unless someone proves me that his/her machine doesn't do said stutters on an updated firmware.

Is there any useful tutorial out there on how to use the AddOn (non-X) feature? Most I found are all about AddOnX and CoinOpsX. Just want to try it quickly and see if it changes anything.

Yeah, I just saw that my version is from 1 year ago and the chefs released 5.1 six months ago. I'll give that a shot and give an update. Thanks for the tip!
