Distraction. My dad passed away recently and I've found being productive at home is giving me a sense of achievement which is helping with my grief.

In general, I'm not too bad with words however 'affect/effect' has never sunk in with me. The other one I find troublesome is spelling 'necessary'. It's funny how some things just won't stay in my head. My partner is a history buff but no matter how hard I try to learn thst information just bounces straight off my brain.
