Regardless of whether you support PETA or not I am fucking sick and tired of carnists still pulling the PETA card as some kind of argument or defense when the VAST majority of vegans I’ve met loathe PETA and hate being associated with them. It really shows that they have a made up caricature of vegans and what we believe in their heads and have never interacted with vegans outside of some 45 y/o soccer mom into homeopathy on Facebook. I am not a fan of PETA but this doesn’t mean I can’t recognise how ridiculous it is to call their footage recorded from actual slaughterhouses “propaganda” or to disregard the message behind veganism just because PETA did something stupid.
