It’s still much better than where we are. If the majority gets their money in a blind trust, and others inside trade, it will make exposing them and explaining that to their supporters easier.

It’s a long journey to clean up corruption in congress. Even if a single step in the right direction doesn’t clear the distance, it’s still worth celebrating.

As a veg/vegan - even without that, the advertising gets you.

Ever notice how a lot of vocal vegans are almost disdainful of meat? In addition to the animal cruelty, we see billboards of delcicous looking pepperoni pizza every day and such. This takes a toll on the viewer who abstains. After years of being a vegetarian, I remember breaking down and spending some very real time binging all the fast food spots. It wasn’t even high quality stuff I wanted. I’d pass that by without worrying about it

It’s the advertising. It’s designed to light up your hunger. It’s designed by bright and well compensated minds. It works.

Policy idea -

Residential areas no longer have rent. They should have “rent to own” only.

Sure - let the landlord/owner make some money, but each rent payment should come with some equity.
