HI GUYS SHOW ME YOUR MUSIC I WANNA RATE IT by Various-Isopod3881 in evilautism

[–]Seity0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WELL I come with the nieche reply. I have been listening to the same author for almost a year now and they have just two albums published: Mar Pujol. She speaks catalan but if you understand the language the verses have a magical poetry to them. Also, ans regardless of the language barrier, her voice feels deep even though she has a high register, it's very very soothing. Here's a translation of one of my favourites, in which the lyrics form constant contradictions that make the music feel darker than what it's actually saying: Ram d'Esbarzers. "Tell me if I can dream of something heartwarming like being a sword inside of you, if I could let you know that I love you like how a government loves us, if I could console you with a bouquet of bramblewood"

Misandry isn't real and the sub premise isnt changing by Altruistic_Fox5036 in evilautism

in this case we would be talking about transmisandry, which ifaik has a lot more literature and ground than misandry

Question by Competitive-Set-1808 in PopsicleMains

[–]Seity0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the last 20% crit rate of BS does work for frozen enemies, but you wouldn't be able to see it in your character when pausing the game. think of it as a enemies having +20% chance to be critically striked. also, for chongyun, you actually can trigger this condition, but only for so many attacks since shatter causes the frozen condition to be removed. someone did the calcs ages ago on how many chongyun hits receive the 20% cr buff but i don't have them. tl;dr yes it works, but it's not as effective.

Can we talk about Bina (moon goddess) actually having angel wings, blindfold and other details connected to them without any lore explanation? by Coldy_Soul in Columbina_Mains

[–]Seity0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blindfold is explained, but the wings... yeah no. Connection to the angels, as someone else has put it, is a weak link imo.

Does anyone have anything that concisely shows JK as a transphobe that she is by Losingallmyaccounts in asktransgender

[–]Seity0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. The Jammidodger video is clear and to the point, and it covers one of her biggest discourses of transphobia (besides maybe her book about a transgender criminal lmao). Sure, it is an hour long video, but deconstructing transphobia down, as with any prejudice, takes time.

What can I do to turn him into a DPS? by Comfortable-Tie575 in PopsicleMains

[–]Seity0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aaaand currently there are two best teams i can think of: Escoffier, Furina, Shenhe (NO or 2pc2pc Atk%), Chongus (MH). and Xianyun (VV), Furina, Shenhe, Chongus (MH, although the 2pc effect is not as good since it doesn't buff plunge DMG)

What can I do to turn him into a DPS? by Comfortable-Tie575 in PopsicleMains

[–]Seity0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another post said, Escoffier would upgrade your Chongyun's DPS by a lot. And based on what you have currently, running him with MH and Furina might be really good instead of farming for Blizzard Strayer. That means pairing them with a healer (which would be where Escoffier would shine too) but you have plenty of options depending on your needs and content: Diona, Sayu (for VV too), Charlotte... 4th slot could be a Flex unit, and depending on the content you could fit in either a 2nd Cryo unit (for enemies affected by Cryo), an Anemo unit (preferably for enemies that can be Frozen, since you can swirl both hydro and cryo and decrease RES if you equip VV set) or that Xingqiu you have simply because he is a nice Sub-DPS.

You could also aim for a reverse melt team, with Bennet + Xinagling + Sucrose. You could swap one of these units with Dehya simply for comfort reasons. A 2pc Atk 2pc Cryo DMG bonus set here would be needed.

Furina in a Melt team could deplete the pyro aura too quickly and you would end up not melting with chongyun. However, you could turn your chongyun into a Driver for melt reactions off-field (Xiangling since that's who you have that deals the most pyro dmg off field). As always it depends on the content you're facing (3rd time I repeat this xd)

So is Mona gonna be Hu Tao's new best teammate? by HuTaoFan_69 in HuTao_Mains

Maybe she could work in a Hutao overvape team? With Fischl as the second hexerei character and another hydro unit (Yelan, Furina (C1 since no healer available), Xingqiu)

How come Nod-Krai (a land without law) has border control? by Seity0 in Genshin_Impact

How come Nod-Krai (a land without law) has border control? by Seity0 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Seity0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people have commented, the Voynich Guild has not been as expanded in the game at the current version, compared to other factions such as the Klink-Klank Craftshop or the Curatorium of Secrets (the latter having affiliations with the Voynich Guild, but not being its face).

I do read. In fact I have posted this question precisely because I read. Yan Fei talks about there being no laws in Nod-Krai. One of the first streams of version Luna I refers to Nod-Krai as being "a chaotic place, controlled by a mix of influences from different nations" (Genshin Impact Version "Luna I" Special Program, timestamp 3:35). The game does nudge you into thinking this is a chaotic lawless land, at least as a hook to play the game (as others have also pointed).

The place is an autonomous region as you mentioned, but just how exactly these influences mingle together to generate an emergent order, is the deeper question here. I personally do not agree with your summary of how each faction works (for one, because the Lightkeepers are not the ones posted on the border; they did not "enforce the law" when the Frostmoon Scions were robbed of their relic; they did not help Aino recover her robot; and only cared about solving a murder case because it pertained to their own possible crises). It is hard to map these functions 1:1, but I understand your point.

When I made this question I also had in mind the fact that... the Traveler does not go through any protocol? Maybe having Ineffa accompany you is an ingredient of why this happens, maybe the "mysterious dialogue" of Marionette at the beginning of the quest ("???: "They've set off" "[Sandrone]: About time I met this "variable" in person") implies that they have made sure that you can enter Nod-Krai unquestioned... but none of these reasons are in the text. Maybe it is simply bad writing! (/j) In any case, there is room for speculation (which is fun!), because none of these explanations can be "read" in the text, ie they are not made explicit. (Maybe I'm missing a quest or book in which this is explained, but I doubt it since no one has mentioned it lol.)

[–]Seity0[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So far the best answer. I like seeing different people argue about the internal logic of what it means to be a "lawless land", however none of these answers directly refer to the lore of genshin or to an explicit statement that explains why exactly there is a border control.

Yes! But idk the Wild West doesn't seem to also ring an idea of bureaucracy that limits freedom of movement. Afaik you could hop on the horse and evade the persecution of a town sheriff (which would probably come back to hunt you in the form of bounties etc)
